But seriously, I have only flown a few times with Xirt sopme years ago, and we all had fun. The people slagging him off, are clueless newcomers who regurgitate two or three year old flameposts without the faintest idea who they originally came from.

I dont post in this quagmire very often but heres my take on xirtam, very cagey, very entertaining (re ts), Best FC ive had the honour of flying under bar none, its obvious anyone who posts negatively about Xirt knows nothing about him. Though i dont fly with him anymore he still has my utmost respect. Not related 0/ wormy when'd you get back?!?

Sal is right. There are very few people in all of EVE who have achieved a high enough stature to be honored by a soundboard, no less.

VOTF, some of the most helpfull guys I've flown with. Xirtam: fearless, stubborn and is an EVE-icon. You should treasure players like him. They bring this game to life.

I miss the ole CA days! Xirt was a laugh regardless, maybe not the best tactician, but ALWAYS up for a fight! Funny as hell to listen to on TS and really knows his ****. He may be older than dirt, but don't underestimate him in a fight man! Good times!

Im sure the people who post negatively about Xirt are the diplomats from other alliances who contact him when hes feeling feisty. Xirt being the ever so delicate diplomat always came on TS and said "XYZ corp said we want to do this, and I said **** off, get the **** off my teamspeak, ill ******* kill you dirty (random insult) bastards".
He gives us cooking lessons and I will always remember his tips for not getting a girl pregnant such as dipping your jewels in very very hot water before the event. Genius

Meh, all i can say is that i spent the first year and a half playing this game despising xirtam, then spending one gang with the guy, had my whole impressions changed. If you want to have playing the game xirt makes it fun.

i have flown with xirt many times. he is one of the most charismatic fc i have flown with, but not the best.
xirt is a larger than life character and he is the type of player which makes eve great.
he is opinionnated, and agressive on ts ,but fun is always had by all who have flown with him
luv or hate him, as the saying goes 2 sides of the same coin

Regardless of what anyone says about Xirt, he paid his dues and in some ways earned respect that he does not receive from the community. Sorry Xirt. ItĘs just the way it is around here, but just know that whenever ppl go up against you, we always have fun, winning or losing and that in itself deserves respect. I've flown with Xirt lots of times and loved every minute of it. He had me *****ing up on TS.
I miss Xirt and no matter what anyone says, life was certainly exciting when he was around.

A better question would be: Why is anyone still willing to follow Xirtam in anything he does anymore?
See Xirt is a good motivator and is very good with people. Back in the day he used to be a good fleet commander. he randomly goes afk due to real life issues which you can't blame him for. Now what hasn't happened is his ability to adapt his fleet commanding ability to modern warfare.
