Camera TV	Posted - 2008.02.14 20:06:00 - [1] I want to tackle people we find with the scanner with my friend, so that I can get to them and scramble them while he warps in and does the killing A crow can go 8.5-9 km/s with two basic rigs and tech 2 overdrives/nanofibers/mwd. Is it fast enough to stay safe to tackle most targets?

We've had a high speed crow (10km/sec) scrambling and orbiting BS using Large Guns that was been instapopped when he should never have been hit and seen a tracking disrupted ship engage a speed setup curse and still melted it again with lasers. By which I inferred that damage (glances, lightly hits, wrecking, etc) is determined after hit/miss is determined. My experience in tacklers is that unless I'm webbed, BS turrets will never hit me (meaning, the BS that I'm orbiting - a sniper at super long range might get lucky if my orbit is bisected by his line of fire). I suppose there's a one in a million chance they might score a wrecking and blow me out of my ship...and considering how often combat is happening in Eve, sooner or later someone's going to have it happen to them. ___________________________________ Wielder of the Trout of Doom(tm)! ___________________________________
Folstrum	Posted - 2008.02.16 08:40:00 - [13] You can tackle most ships you catch ratting with a condor, a scram and a mwd. Keep your ducks in a row and you'll be fine. Your shiney 30+ mil inty can still go poof if you hit a rock and lose your transverse, so pay attention.

Retribution and Zealot seem to be very effective, especially with the EM damage as a lot of speed tanked ships have lower EM resists (not counting minnie T2 ships...) Nice to see that a huginn or isn't the only thing that can counter nano ships pretty effectively, even if I like to nano around myself ------------ Originally by: Praxis1452 you win eve

Pwned. sorry, but they changed the way wrecking shots are calculated so they are based on the hits rather than just the shooting R0ADKILL-killboard \| Give the tempest 7 turret slots!
