That's why I'm writing this letter, to bear witness to the plain, unvarnished truth. The key point of the following exposition is that I'm no psychiatrist. Still, from the little I know about psychiatry I can say that LadyScarlet seems to exhibit many of the symptoms of Asperger's syndrome. I don't say that to judge but merely to put LadyScarlet's out-of-touch, mudslinging editorials into perspective.
The facts are, succinctly, these: First, LadyScarlet's prophecies are just another signpost marking our long, steep cultural descent. Second, we wouldn't currently have a problem with unilateralism if it weren't for her. Although LadyScarlet created the problem, aggravated the problem, and escalated the problem, she insists that she can solve the problem if we just grant her more power. How nanve does LadyScarlet think we are? Truly, our future is hopeless indeed if we do not stand uncompromised in a world that's on the brink of LadyScarlet-induced disaster. An obvious parallel from a slightly different context is that it's possible that even without making an ethical argument against careerism, I can show that it is widely known and beyond dispute that she often expresses great interest in, and approval of, violent acts reported in the press -- spousal abuse, shooting sprees, capital punishment, and so forth. However, I cannot speculate about that possibility here because I need to devote more space to a description of how if LadyScarlet gets her way, I might very well drop to my knees and beg for mercy. I have one final message for you before ending this letter: You have my word that at least 80 percent of the people in this country recognize that by exploiting social discontent and promising a golden age of "human brotherhood", Mrs. LadyScarlet will be successful in her attempts to introduce disease, ignorance, squalor, idleness, and want into affluent neighborhoods.
