Yesterday, the infernal Jovian that was TomB appeared right outside of the Imperial Academy in Chaven. No one knows what business the Jovian has near the Imperial Academy but he may be intent in spying on the Academy and scanning the brain patterns of Amarrian students for his nerferious purposes. The Jovian TomB appeared in a special frigate ship called the Wraith whose specs include
CPU: 250 Shields: 400 4 Hislots 6 Midslots 2 Lowslots 10 points in every sensor type.
Due to the 1.0 security status of the system, many protesting Amarrians could not use force to remove the intruder. Among the protesters of this heinous presence are yours truly in an Inquistor, Kular in an Inquisitor, XT95 of PIE in an Executioner, Kendo Collins in a Crusader, etc,. Some decided to express their protest of the Jovian intrusion by dropping copies of Pax Amarria around the Wraith. However, the pilot took no notice, apparently either asleep or attentive with his programming chores.

Edited by: Kular on 01/04/2004 06:10:03 As I was there I saved some visual records of the event. They can be viewd here as Amarr loyalist take notice and A fleet response meets the Jove threat
I don't know why the Jove was there or what he was doing, scanns indicated he had no weapons fitted nor any harmful good were found in his cargo hold. There was no response in local to hails, and the offerings of pax Amarria went unnoticed. Whatever he was up to he kept it secret. I hope we do not let this go by unnoticed, I personally do not like the Jove and don't want them anywhere near our training schools at all! Only time will tell what this may bring for us. No doubt the Jovian was examining our energy weaponry in order to make it less ffective in future.

Of course God will protect us - but God also wants us to protect ourselves. Have you never heard that it's unwise to underestimate an enemy?

Do not mind the other Amarr. They are just un-used to actually not shooting something first and asking questions never.... Much like most of you are? *grins* I would take this as a good sign. The Jovians, however mysterious to us, are reportedly interested in humanity itself, something we take for granted and throw out the air lock. Amarr, Caladari...*grinds his teeth*...Gallente and Minmatar all hold something of value we can't seem to comprehend. I myself take this as a blessing; I graduated from the Imperial Academy at Chaven and to see one from such an elder and certainly less bloodthirtsy race is a sobering event. Perhaps it is one of their diseased? Perhaps it is not. I can only hope to see more of them in my lifetime in either case.

The Jovians are interested in our humanity purely because they gave up their own when they sold their souls.

yes but here's a history lesson for you my boy
"No one knows how big the Jove Navy is, though judging by the number of Jovians it can't be all that big. Yet it is universally revered and feared, considered the most powerful of all the empire's fleets. Its reputation dates from the Amarr-Jove War when it decimated a whole Amarrian armada in a single battle."
Hmmm, was God on holiday then or something? ---------------------------

To fully understand God's ineffable plan would be to surpass human intellect.
No doubt God has his reasons for testing us, but I cannot say with any certainty what they are.
Needless to say though, the Amarr Empire was fighting two wars at the time of the battle you alluded to, which is generally considered a bad idea. Presumably the opportunist Jovians knew that they could not defeat an unoccupied Imperial Navy, and so waited until our forces were busy elsewhere before attacking.

I sense that you are in some way trying to set a trap for me.
Nevermind, you shall fail in your endeavour.
I'm not sure I understand your question regarding the Empire always fighting wars - perhaps you would care to list the major engagements that our government's forces are currently involved in?

Whenever I browse through a topic containing something connected to the Amarr Empire, there they are. The steamventing pups of Clan Raven spouting their ridicule and scorn all over the post.
Do you have somekind of complex, or is it just some Clan genetic failure which prevents you from anything but spewing foulness? Or mayhaps it is the pinnacle of your creativity? Your favorite pasttime?
The epitome of resistance against Amarr?
Or perhaps you are simply a laughing stock. ----------------------------------------------

Heh, Gauis, be calm
I thought the prince of insults and egging on would be used to his own games by now. I don't think Clan Raven has much to do with your anger, I think it's more that the Half Breed may well have something. From what I've seen, she's the firbrand of the Clan, and Ilike her for it. Take the issue up with the head if you have a problem... but then you did call him a chimp so why should he care?
That aside, it's quite an expierence seeing a Jove ship for the first time, I only wish I could have seen it in person.

I see two Inquisitors there, doubtless loaded with cruise missiles. The vessel was clearly scanned, from other posts, and found to have no modules fitted, correct?
400 shields could be taken down with 2 Paradise cruise, leaving you another 4 (assuming both Inquisitors deliver a full salvo) to destroy the Jovian. At that close range, you could have fired, destroyed the ship, and been long gone before CONCORD could engage. Even if you were destroyed, wouldn't that be a small price to pay for the destruction of a Jovian vessel, and possibly pod?
Could you explain your reluctance to engage, defenders of the Empire?

I was not present, but from what I could read of the posting, the Jovian vessel was sitting tightly under the umbrella range of the sentries.
A state of war does not exist between the Empire and the hellspawn Jove.
Unlike the rabid Minmatar, and their ilk, we do not immediately open fire on anything which in some way could pose a threat. ----------------------------------------------

Showing restraint in this case was definately the right move to make.
Good work in gathering all of the information concerning the specs of the ship. Very important
It's definately best to gather all the facts you can about an past or potential adversary before taking any action.

Has the 'almight amarr empire' lost it's bottle. It quite clearly let a single Jove frigate right through its front door, why not throw him a tea party next time? ..:: Electro-shock therapy ::..
