I think interbus is a good idea and have always wondered why it hasn't been implemented. I think that most of the fears people have about it ruining courier contracts aren't valid. Moving freight, or valuable items should be left to courier missions. And interbus should handle the small stuff.
Things that interbus should be able to handle (in limited quantities): - Ammunition - Non Special Ship Fittings (no faction items)
I believe that if it was introduced in this way there would be alot less people in jita. I know I wouldnt go to jita if I could buy my guns and ammo at a decent price and quantity without going into the den of the lagmonster. Weapons Linking |

Post something productive of qft.
I think interbus would reduce lag in major systems such as jita. Where even if we had people willing to do courier contracts. it would just add more lag because you sending someone there to lag it up in your place. Weapons Linking |

Originally by: Kweel Nakashyn The problem is Interbus allows goods to be moved automatically.
This will make prices even between the different market hubs : - Broker A is in Jita, with an Alt B in Rens. - Broker A see Rens' market with Alt B, buy stuff that he can sell at Rens with a profit. - Broker A ask Interbus to contract stuff to Rens. - Alt B get the package and sells.
Broker A / Alt B can do this until Jita's price = Rens's price. Then he moves to another item. Prices will be made even in Empire, say, in a month.
This is very easy to combat though, you could limit the amount of stuff interbus could move, and the type of stuff it could move. You don't need to move everything t1/t2 fitting, drones, and ammo should be enough.
Also interbus charges would include, number of jumps, total m3, and total cost of the item.

Originally by: Little Zandra what i could agree on is limit it to region wide delivery so you buy the good from a distance and then get it moved to a diff system in the region at the transport costs and offcourse the higher the volume the more it costs that should reduce the load a bit i would hope.
Well ofc the more you have and the farther you are moving it the more expensive it is going to be.Prices should be a % of the original item cost (delivery should be an option only when buying) Weapons Linking |
