Edited by: Apollo Acesius on 16/02/2008 14:41:16 Hi all
I get a pretty poor framerate when there are lots of objects on screen (or even one big object or structure). Is this a general problem with the Mac client, or is it a Leopard thing? I don't have an Intel Tiger machine to test on. Would it be worth downgrading?
[EDIT] This is on my MacBook 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM. [/EDIT]
TIA Apollo

MacBook Pro, 128MB Radeon X1600.
I got a massive FPS drop after upgrading to Leopard.

Thanks for the info re minimum spec. It's pretty weird though that performance was pretty good under Windows when I was using Bootcamp to play Eve on the same machine. I'll install Tiger on a USB disk and see if performance is any better.

It's also worth noting that the Mac client only gets about 80% of the framerate of EVE running natively in Windows XP on the same hardware.
Please refrain from posting "your computer is below the minimum requirements" - it helps nobody.

it also helps no one to keep posting the same issue about non supported hardware.

Does anyone have experiences with the current Mac Pro using one NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT? Which framerate can I expect? And at which resolution? Are two clients doable??
Thanks! Secus
