to open eve config dialog/system tests etc same thing you see when installing game eve -config
location of eve directory's on system /usr/lib/eve usr/bin/eve
the following has list of all downloaded files /usr/lib/eve/manifests/manifest.EveOnline-linux i found it url by looking at /usr/lib/eve/manifests/manifest.EveOnline-linux the online file contains data like the following
GUI!000066,http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/eve-000066-1-GUI-update.tgz,http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/eve-000066-1-GUI-update.tgz.md5 UPDATER!000066,http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/eve-000066-1-update.tgz,http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/eve-000066-1-update.tgz.md5 ENGINE!eve-000072,http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/cedega-engine-eve-000072.i386.cpkg,http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/cedega-engine-eve-000072.i386.cpkg.md5 GAME!000985,http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/EveOnline-linux-000985_49635.dat,http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/EveOnline-linux-000985_49635.dat.md5 LICENSE!,http://updates.cedega.com/manifest/eveonline/license.txt SUPPORT!http://support.eve-online.com GAME_UPDATE!EveOnline-linux-000985,http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/EveOnline-linux-000985a-update.tgz,http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/EveOnline-linux-000985a-update.tgz.md5
as you can see the .dat and .md5 are listed in that file as http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/EveOnline-linux-000985_49635.dat http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/linux/EveOnline-linux-000985_49635.dat.md5
also there is a bug in the installer where if you dont have the .dat and .md5 in same directory it thinks dat file corrupt. I mean how hard is it to check that the .md5 file exists and re download it if it don't or at least say to user its not there instead of making user think file is corrupted. I know the install guide says "NOTE: EveOnline-linux-######.dat file and EveOnline-linux- ######.dat.md5 must be in the same directory." but why the coders didn't add this check or put the links to these files on the Linux download page is beyond me. I guess they just know that Linux users are smart and will work it out if they want to do it :)
thought i would post this so people know how everyones been working out what to download. You can easily spot .dat url from installer as it shows base url and file name for the .dat i guess most people guessed the md5 filename after seeing that or just looked it up like i did.
