We picked the name out a few years ago. I liked the name so I used it for my EVE character, thinking that I would stop playing well before I had any kids. I was wrong. I have a 1 month old son now who shares the name with my EVE character and my wife hates me for it. Omega Fleet Enterprises is Recruiting!

I was later informed that a slightly different spelling (vßlka) is Czech for 'war' -- how cool is that?

An added bonus is that the pronunciation was ambiguous and that helps a lot in fleet battles. In hindsight I should have selected the name "secondary" as someone once suggested. Just imagine the FC yelling "Primary is secondary"
