I was wondering if I could get some advice on what equipment to use with my new drake to help maximize my shields. What combination of extenders, boosters, and such should I look into getting. Any help would be appreciated.

3x extenders, 3x hardeners, 4x shield power relay, 3x core defense field purger rigs.
That's the optimal tank. Most people drop 2x SPRs for 2x BCUs to up the damage a bit.

I prefer 2 x Large Shield Extender II, EM Amplifier II, Therm Amplifier II, 2 x Invulnerability II in mids, 4 x Shield Power Relay II in lows.

I read an argument between a couple people last night on this issue in another post.
I liked the x2 T-2 Large Extenders with x2 T-2 Invulnerability Fields, with x1 Shield Recharger to suppliment the x4 T-2 Shield Power Relays and the x3 Purger Rigs.

That one is far worse, just fit 3x LSEII, 2x invII and 1x recharger. Rigs are either purgers (pve) or extenders (pvp). Lows can be swapped for bcu/spr based on dps/tankage needs.

Too much tank, what is this setup for actually? tanking full agro in lvl 4s?
Ditch 2-3 SPR for BCU. CDFP rigs are also overkill, if you do lvl 3s, you can replace 1-2 of them with lot cheaper shield resistance rigs or even missile rigs.
In many cases 2 extenders+4 hardeners work better then 3+3 too

CDFP rigs are overkill for lvl 3s really.
I've tanked full room aggro in Worlds Collide lvl 4 with 3 x LSEII, 2 x InvulnII, 1 x SPRII and 1 x PDS II. Admittedly I wasn't alone (had a friend in a BS with me) but it's a good yardstick.

Well he asked on maximizing shields, not maximizing efficiency... obviously anything more than one SPR and 2 extenders is well into "shield overkill" but eh, whatever.

A lot of the set-ups posted would be pretty difficult to squeeze into a mid-SP Drake.
The key is 3 Purger Rigs and 3 SPRs in the low, with at least 2 Shield Extenders in the mids. Having an EM Hardener/Amplifier and Invulnerability Field is advisable in order to achieve strong resists.

Currently my setup is as such(as far as shields go)
Mids: 1x Shield Recharger II, 2x LSE II, 1x Dread Gurista Therm, EM and Kin Shield Amp
Lows: 3x Beta Reactor Control: Shield Power Relay 1 and 1 BCU II
Rigs: 3x Core Defence Shield Purger I(IIs are just too expensive!)
Currently puts me at 12.6k shields with a 207 second recharge time(training Shield Operation 5 right now and hoping to drop my recharge time to 195) this setup also gives me 60+ all resistances(kinetic at 75%) with BC 4, and all the shield compensation skills at 3 currently.Not to mention I'm completely NOS proof, go ahead and try. This is a very good FULLY passive setup and helped me survive gate camps on my way to low sec missions(actually ran a group of wannabe pirates out of ammo during one attempt, but these guys seriously sucked). Thinking back on it, I should have replied to their ransom demand with my own ransom: "20 mil and I'll save the four of you the embarassment of being unable to kill a pilot with only 7.4 mil SP in a Drake".
-Note- this setup also offers decent(not great or even good; decent) DPS with 7x HML II with either tech 1 scourge or Caldari Navy Scourge and a compliment of tech II light drones.
