There have been a lot of posts lately about the Zealot, which is understandable since it is getting a boost, and in each and every one of them some one says get a Sac. Looking into the Sac threads it seems that most people seem to feel that the 'only' way to fly it is to nano it out. I was curious how fast a Nano Sac needs to go to be effective, max speed and orbital. Do I really need Snakes or faction mods to make it work or can I just use Tech II equipment?
If anyone could post a setup that would be really helpful.

With tech2 equipment and polycarbon rigs, nearly-maxed skills, and no implants, you can get the nanosac to about 3.7k/s, and that's with a rep and two BCUs fitted in the lows.
That should probably be fast enough since you also have almost 500dps and a web of your own to handle things that are faster than you.
I don't fly nanosacs though (I tank mine) so this is pure theorycraft. __________________________________

Rule of thumb on nanoing is aim for >3km/sec.
Otherwise, the sacrilege... really is awesomely better at this than the Cerberus, isn't it?
*shrug*. Quick EFT hackery suggests: 5x HAM II (cloak) MWD II, 24km, 2x LSE. 3x OD, 2x nano 2x polycarbon
Your shield resists are awful on EM/Therm, but amazing on Kin/Exp. So you may want to switch those LSEs for hardeners. But you get more EHPs this way. (18k or so vs. EM or thermal, and a rather impressive 100k or so vs. explosive). -- Crane needs more grid 249km locking? |

I made a post on the Sac a few days back, came up with a REALY nice fitt thou verry expensive. Had it for 3 days and killed ****loads in it, out DPS the rest in my nano gang and have loads of fun.
Highs. 5x HAM IIs with Rage (Javelin in cargo)
Meds. 1x Hydrocarbon MWD 1x Domi Web 1x Electro Booster 1x Cap Recharger II
Lows. 2x MAR II 1x Active Therm 2x BCS II
Riggs. 2x Polycarbon
Drones. 3x Small ECM
Speed = 3500 ish
Resists. EM/Therm/Kin/Exp 70/78/71/85
Raw DPS = 430 ish
Inplants. Full LG Snake, Zor Navigation and the Rogues.
Can run every mod for about 8ish minutes as long as i have boosters, Most of the time i'm only gona use 1 MAR II so cap is realy nice.
