Do I need a full set of low-grade or can I mix some low-grade in with the more expensive type and still gain the set bonus? I'm mostly curious about the Omegas...

Primary Effect: 25% bonus to the strength of all Snake implant secondary effects
That comes from the description of the low grade snake omega.
So yeah. It'll be better than the low grade set, but worse than the high grade.

That's what I gathered from the description as well. However, I wanted to be sure because the Omegas are expensive and descriptions can be misleading. If I can plug in a low-grade set with a high-grade Omega and get the 50% bonus that would be great.

HG5/HGO = 53.63% LG1/HG4/HGO = 50.93% LG2/HG3/HGO = 48.37% LG3/HG2/HGO = 46% LG4/HG1/HGO = 43.68% LG5/HGO= 41.52%
Those are the % bonuses for mixing /w a High Grade Omega for Snake/Slave/Crystal sets. Using HG implants with a LG Omega provides a really tiny boost and I wouldn't suggest it.

Useful info, thanks. I am actually planning to use a high grade Omega and upgrade the others as I acquire them, so I assume that will have a good result.
