Hey, just looking for some advice to fitting a Badger MKII for all-around courier/transport use. Ideally, I'd like a setup that lets me handle a mixed bag problems and would let me enter Low(er) sec without being insta-gibbed (yeah, I know I'll never stand up to a full assault, but I just want something defense-orientated).
Currently, I have 2 shield extenders and 1 afterburner. Any suggestions on how to avoid combat, move faster, or last longer would be much appreciated!

Lots of reads, but no replies -- so here's a bump.
Found this on another thread, different ship but same idea:
Quote: I don't fly the Iteron, but this is what I use for a Mammoth
[Mammoth] Damage Control II Local Hull Conversion Inertial Stabilizers I Local Hull Conversion Inertial Stabilizers I Local Hull Conversion Inertial Stabilizers I
Medium Shield Extender II Medium Shield Extender II Medium Shield Extender II Invulnerability Field II Invulnerability Field II
Improved Cloaking Device II Salvager I (have got a few bits of t2 salvage on the return journey)
Cargohold Optimization I Cargohold Optimization I Cargohold Optimization I
It has ~22k effective hps with the invul fields overheated. If I was using an itty v, I'd use the extra low slot for a 400mm plate.
Both would only carry around 11k m3, but that's enough for a weeks worth of mission loot for me. The idea behind the set-up is to firstly get into warp reasonably quickly, so it doesn't take forever to get anywhere (and is hard to cargo scan), and secondly have as many effective hit points as possible to put off the solo suicide gankers.
I'm fairly new to this game so I can't tell if this is golden or doomed to fail. Thoughts?

Warp core stabs + inertial stabs. You need a mix.

How do the Warp Core stabilizers work? Is it one for every jammer?
Basically, how many would i have to equip to avoid an average Pirate setup -- or would it just be better to get soemthing that blocks being targeted or something to cloak with?
Appreciate any input.

1 WCS equipped means they need 2 points to hold you. Each additional WCS raises the points needed by one. Keep in mind that heavy dictors ignore all WCS when running their focused script, so hauling through lowsec in a T1 industrial is really IMO a crapshoot.
IMO, you'd be better off waiting until you can pilot blockade runners to attempt lowsec runs... that, or at the very least, have a scout. Why there should be a breathalyzer to login to Eve:

I'd suggest 2 warp core stabilizers and an inertial stabilizer. The reason for the inertial stabilizer is that fitting a single one can drastically improve your align time. But you really need warp stabs as well if you are going through low-sec because if you are getting attacked you are also going to be scrambled 99% of the time. Warp stabs work at 1 per point of scramble, most players use 1-point scramblers because of the range.
Fit as many shield extenders as you can in the mids and then a few hardeners after that.
For general high-sec cargo runs, a full rack of inertial stabilizers should do. Replace with cargo expanders as needed obviously.
Maybe consider training for a mammoth. I like it for the lower mass, smaller sig radius and extra low-slot not to mention the extra cargo space. It covers the general weaknesses of haulers pretty well, IMO.

Cool, thanks, that's really helpful. I was thinking about taking a Mammoth maybe, but I have the Badger already (and it has its perks).
Going back a bit to that second post where I quoted the one guy, but what are Invulneriblity shields and does Cloaking help at all?

Are you sure you need a badger to do runs? when i did them, granted that was 3 years ago, i could do most in a kestrel. A kestrel with 2 inertias shouldnt have a problem getting through lowsec, jsut look out for podkilling areas - thats where ppl camp with smartbombing battleships. -
