Just installed Eve for the first time, downloaded the content upgrade and whenever I try and install it it stops working on 94% of the first file and windows closes the program down.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
I am running Vista.

Is there a error message or something?

Vista's usual "Eve online content upgrade has stopped working".
I really hate Vista, there is no way to get any info about what has actually caused the problem.
It goes on to say that vista will attempt to find a solution to the problem itself, so far (surprise, surprise) it hasn't.

Have exactly the same problem, tried updating display drivers and directX but without success. Also running vista 32bit.

This is happening to me on XP. It's saying 93%, but that seems irrelevant. Where is the full premium client?

Edited by: Tanankil on 20/02/2008 06:21:59 Edited by: Tanankil on 20/02/2008 06:21:12 I can't install but got a different problem.
It completely downloaded (AFAIK), I click to install it, it tells me it has to restart the client, it closes the game and then open a installer.
Up to this point, everything is normal.
But the installer never finish, or even get close to finishing. It just go "extract DX9" or something similar to that, and when this reach 100% (but this is still very early in the installer, the first thing it does for me) the installer simply completely close.
No error message, no message at all to say it finished, it just closes.
Is it possible to tell me where the premium download is located? I could try extracting it completely myself, or at least deleting it so it would redownload from scratch, in the hope it fix the problem.
The game runs with original gfx, it just doesn't install premium. (On XP)

I have the exact same issue as the OP, but in windows xp. Everything (drivers directx etc) are fully updated. I always get this error message at 94% when its extracting.
EVE Online Content Upgrade has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience
Any clues as to how I can fix this?

Same problem here. Installed and played with the Classic one. Downloaded Premium from ingame, tried to install : going to 94% (dx9) then crash. Downloaded from myeve = same at 94% (dx9) then crash. Classic still works perfectly.
