Launch some drones. Right-click on "Drones in local space.
Up pops the menu. Look at the bottom.
"Abandon Drone"
Anyone who doesn't like their drones can just warp away from them.
I have to wonder about the mentality that produces such a useless option.

Well, since you can shoot someone's drone once every 15 minutes to keep aggro on them (hence keeping their ship in space and able to be probed out), personally I would like the ability to claim the drones aren't mine anymore

It's far from useless.
You are in a Dominix and you have deployed sentry drones to shoot at something. Someone hostile comes along and bumps your ship then scrams and webs you.
You are now 10km away from your drones. Your drones cannot hit the hostile effectively as he is too close. You have a drone bay full of nice Ogre IIs. how do you deploy them to take care of the hostile?

Its actuley quite usefull if your in a drone heavy ship like a domi/vexor/ishtar, if you need to pop a fast target quickley or your dead, and your heavys are very far away.
Its even more usefull for carrier pilots for the same reason, especially if the carrier is useing sentry drones and has been bumped out of their scoop range.

Haven't thought this through very far, have you?
It's a useful option and was added because many people asked for it. It's far from useless, as a few seconds of thought will tell you.
I have to wonder about the mentality that can't see the usefulness of it.

... and that undock button! I mean, who in his right mind would want to undock if everyone out there is out to shoot you?
