So... i just got a response from casqade that people getting a status: unknown error are limited to a select few, and that it is unrelated to the patch. Although we all had this problem after the patch.
Please post here if you are still unable to log so i can know if the problem is really as uncommon as he says it is.

i thought i'd give CCP the benefit of the doubt (since we all make mistakes) and wait for the next patch. but now i see that since only a few people are impacted by THEIR bad patch they dont care. i still cannot log on. i am still getting the server status unknown. i tried to DL the new patch from today hoping that fixed the problem but no. so im done. i havent been playing that long (about a month) but i've got another game that i've played for 9 years without a single problem. so BYE CCP! thanks for the headache.

Lasher... do you have zone alarm lol
if yes, try closing it down, restarting it and logging into eve again. Worked for me.

I have url error too.
tried everything that i can think of
i don't have zone alarm so thats not it
i tryed reinstalling it , classic version
deleted eve folder where they told me to.
What else can i do
I've emailed them twice now since yesterday and no reply

Open Control Panel and double click Windows Security Center. Left click the downward pointing double arrow on the extreme right of 'Firewall', tell us what it says.
