Sometimes patches don't go smoothly. If you haven't been around long enough to know this, you haven't been around long enough to have any stuff worth asking for....

Ignore your customers long enough, eventually they'll stop bothering you.
Personally, I think of the server instability in the same way as scamming and spying: it's metagaming. The ones who will survive are the ones who adapt and use the cold chaotic universe to their favor. If you're going to leave because you got ganked in a 1.0 system, or because your mission got reset by a server crash, or because you lost a CNR in a fleet op that lagged for 45 minutes, then son you're playing the wrong game.
In my 2+ years of playing EVE, I've learned something critical to my enjoyment of the game: Expect it. Learn to watch for signs, and plan accordingly. Use it to your advantage, and profit from those who don't.
I don't want your stuff. I want to beat you. If you quit, I win.
Any questions?
