We Amarr are a peace-loving people.
Rodj, I'd ask you to stop telling lies even you couldn't keep a straight face over, but why should I ask you to break the habit of a lifetime?
Rodj is not lying.
We Amarrians are a people of peace - it is after all the end goal towards which we all struggle.
The Amarrian civilisation and system of government is the most stable and long lasting in human history.
Other ideologies and systems constantly emerge, shine brightly and then collapse in chaos, war and destruction.
It is an endless cycle that the human race is doomed to repeat over and over again for eternity, unless it is checked.
While the Amarr may promote war in the short term it is a war fought in the cause of peace and civilisation. For once our system is finally established and accepted everywhere humanity will finally be freed from this endless cycle of destruction and our race can enter a new period of peace under the eyes of our benevolent leadership.
We are the peace bringers!

Shernie, your blindness also does not surprise me. See for example this link for a recent example.
Please put that example into the context of my longer term beliefs as stated here.
While I long for the 'reclaiming' to begin I do not do so for 'warlike' reasons - exactly the opposite in fact.
The sooner everyone else realises that the Amarr work only for the betterment of our species as a whole, the sooner we shall have peace!

Originally by: Elsebeth Rhiannon Hardin, I quoted that merely as an example of Amarrian loyalists not recognizing the Republic. I did not mean to imply anything further on your beliefs.
In that case you are correct, I do not recognise the Republic. I do however recognise the Ammatar Mandate.
If war is to be avoided then the Republic should ultimately legislate itself out of existence and return its territories to the Mandate who already operate semi-autonomously within the Amarr Empire.
Obviously the misguided will oppose this, but I have more faith in the Mandate *****ing down and controlling terrorism than I do with the current Republic leadership who, I believe, privately sympathise with and support the murderous terrorists.

For there to be any hope of peace in the universe, there must be an end to men and women as twisted and sociopathic as you.
You clearly cannot see the bigger picture or think beyond your base instincts. Are there things that the Amarr have done that can be perceived as 'evil'? Yes there are.
Has the Empire sometimes taken actions which I as an individual have regretted? Yes there are!
But that does not mean that the Empire is not working to a higher purpose or cause beyond the understanding of insignificant people such as you or I.
As Rodj correctly pointed out I am a member of what was once a 'slave' race. Yet my people have achieved positions of power and significance within the Empire. We have been uplifted and enlightened beyond what our race would have achieved on its own. The Amarr did not have to do this for us but they did it anyway, and they will do it for the Matari too if given the chance.
While you may scoff and deride our beliefs the Amarr Empire is working towards the betterment and protection of humankind and this is a religious imperative that runs through our entire society. Yes sometimes this means that we have to be 'cruel to be kind' but that is something that we have learnt through LONG experience.
Good parents enforce rules and restrictions upon their offspring because they know that however painful it might be in the short term it will eventually pay off.
The Amarr Empire has stood as a shining beacon of stability for millennia. It has seen other ideologies and Empires rise and fall like the flickering of a candle in the wind. We have heard your arguements before. We have seen people proclaim the virtues and superiority of their systems yet all have fallen in chaos and war in the end.
So lay aside your cynicism and accept what I say.
Opposition merely delays the inevitable. ----- Alliance Creation/Corp Expansion Services

If or if not the Empire goes to war lies solely in the hands of the Emperor, so you have to look at who'll be on the imperial throne in the future. And I'm sure that whoever will be Emperor in the future, will again be one of the best Amarr out there, if not the best, so his decisions will be wise and aiming at the good of the Amarrian people and the whole cluster.
On the other hand, I'm deeply worried about the forces outside of the Empire, which are calling for war. And I'm worried about the unwillingness to discuss the flaws and merits of slavery. While the institution of slavery has surely it's flaws, it has its benefits, too. If you want us to seriously talk with the Amarr about the abolishment of slavery, you have to recognize this and to respect the central role it plays in our culture. Disrepect does never contribute to peaceful solutions.
Both very good points!
