I'm told it was possible in Beta, but was removed due to either memory usage or some kind of exploitable loophole it opens. That's all hearsay, of course.

When I first started this game I thought I would feel stupid for asking how do I switch characters without quitting the game. I knew better eventually the game was designed that way but there's no need for a game to make you feel unneccessarily stupid. Learning the ins and outs of other things like ship combat and the UI is painstaking enough.

It's not exactly a new suggestion, but..
If they manage to implement it without breaking the game or re-introduce ebil haxploits, then yes please, it would be very nice.

It used to be possible in Casta (spelling ?) however it was removed for two reasons.
1) it resulted in data curruption as the data was not being cleared properly.
2) it was also being used in an expoit, so was removed.
If you want more information there are hundreds of threads discussing this, Try Eve-search for more details.
Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congrated by carebears for the actions. |
