The Reaper looks a lot better from the angle you captured it at than the angle in the blog provided, counts as acceptable to me.

*sigh* yes... It is better, A lot better really. My predefined practicality ocd just melted at the random struts more so than any ship before it. Maybe because its so clean and easy to read whats going on with the design. |

ah ok with the textures I dig the Gallente and Minmatar ones a lot more.
and I my have to have my Caldari alt poop out a bunch of Ibises for my main. they look pretty rad and spaceshippy. |

I love the old reaper. it's amazing. It's a perfect example of what a minmatar ship should look like.
it doesn't bother me so much that they're changing the noob ship, so much as it probably means they're going to go the same direction when they change other minmatar ships.

Okay, I LOVE the new Ibis. In fact, it is the best looking ship in the entire game as of right now.
CCP, it is your DUTY to buff that ship until I have no reason to ever fly anything else. It'd be a complete waste to leave such a great model with such terrible stats. |

Apparently CCP accidentally hired someone with design talent. Nevertheless, I don't think we'll have to worry about Eve losing the World's Record for Ugliest Ship Design any time soon.
It's a shame they created such a beautiful gaming environment and then filled it with ugly scrapheaps. I have often thought how glad I am we can zoom way out and not have to look at our ship. The Ruppie, for instance - it's great on the stats but uglier than Medusa on a bad hair day. If I had to look at it all the time I would be too nauseous fly it.

The Ibis looks great though. Wish the Impairor had gotten a complete overhaul since the beaky design never did it for me. |

Impairor=10 Perfect. The old one was nice, and from the artwork this new one looked the same. But after seeing it ingame, WOW Its awesome. By far the best looking ship in the game. Maybe the best ship ever designed in anything ever. I'm DYING for a T2 version of this. Or navy issue. Or anything....I just wanna fly my Impairor dammit.
Ibis=9 Awesome. Looks sleek and high tech. Just like a caldari ship should. Sure, it looks too fancy when compared to the older ships, but CCP are obviously going towards the Tengu/Scorpion/Ibis design style now, so someday they will all look like this. I for one, couldn't be happier. Caldari are quickly going from horrible asymmetrical satellites, into hightech ships of awesome. Only downside is that the little wings look like they are supposed to retract when the ship warps, but they don't. Add that, and the Ibis would be a 10. Can't wait to see a Merlin redone in this style(that would be godlike)
Velator=8 Really good. Its just a revamped version of the original. Looks clean and sleek, rather than messy and....bad.... like the old one. By far the most improved of the ships. I used to hate anything Gallente, but with the Talos and the Velator, I'm seriously considering turning my Itty hauler alt into a PvP Gallente badass. The original made me quit Eve(about 5 mins into the game....) Luckily when I tried eve again I picked Amarr, and the Impairor led me into the vast awesome that is Eve. They did the best they could whilst keeping the design. To make it any better, they would have had to totally redesign the ship. I'm glad they kept it as a throwback to the original, but still made it awesome.
Reaper=7 Another huge improvement. The old one was awful. A perfect example of Badmatar. This one looks much nicer to me. It isn't as nice as the others, and also doesn't quite mesh with the Minmatar style, so it loses a few marks. Hopefully the next Minnie ship to be done will be a cross between this and the nicer existing Min ships(thrasher/cyclone/breacher/rifter)
Honestly, I love them all. People saying the Impairor looks the same must not have seen it ingame. Either that or be utterly blind. If the Impairor wasn't so good, the others would probably all be marked higher, but it's so awesome, that all other ships have serious competition now.
Eve's weakest point to me was always the vast number of terrible ships. Ones so bad I couldn't physically fly them. Rupture/Moa/Crucifier/Dominix etc. The fact CCP are improving the ships so much gives me great hope for the future of Eve.

I have a feeling that a dev is going to go to work with a bad congestion someday and sneeze/hack a major loogey on the monitor and that will be the next Velator.
We will not notice the difference.
