Consider this a work in progress, this is an outline to a strategy for dealing with piracy along our trade routes. It will be especially effective against pirates who root themselves to one system. It will need to be fleshed out later with specifics on loadouts and skills needed, and even those will perhaps need tweaking over time due to balance changes.
What we need from CCP:
- NPC police, navy, CONCORDE, etc not attacking people who fight someone with a bounty and negative sector rating. It's something of a farce that they receive protection from entities that should be hunting them down.
- Deny station privilages to anyone with a security rating poor enough that police would attack them. In the real world, harboring fugitives is a crime, I doubt the future would change this.
- Remove alts, make people accountable for their actions. Given the way the skill system works, there's hardly any reason for an alt. There are alot of reasons not to have them though.
- Trade with wanted people with bad security ratings should result in security hits.
- Destroying ships should have a chance at destroying, or partially destroying cargo.
What corps and you need to do:
Pirates and raiders were a serious problem many moons ago. The solution which eventually drove them off were coast watches and militia forces.
Beating m0o and other wannabe-m0o corps means beating them at their own game. This will take alot of people and willingness to cooperate. But this is what you will do unless you wish to see the future where there's dozen's of m0o-like corps blockading all chokepoint systems in the game not allowing you to move anywhere. If your hoping for the NPC police and navy to protect you, keep in mind this is the same AI that controls npc pirates, still feeling safe ?
Ok, on to business. We know where m0o is at any given time, their tactics are rather simple. It's just a matter of a little scouting to find where they've setup.
After that is done, first find a route that bypasses m0o's blockade. Set a force to clearing, and keeping clear those areas of NPC pirates as neccessary. This gives you a trade route around the blockade, if your lucky it also means some decent item upgrades.
Next up is the tricky part. You will need to establish blockades outside the system m0o or their wannabe's are inhabiting. This needs to be setup at each adjacent sector. Warn away ships entering those sectors, destroy any with poor sector ratings or make frequent visits through the blockade (they're running supplies). If they try to leave the system, destroy them.
This is your basic seige, it's a time proven method for dealing with hostile forces who just won't go home. It can work because we have alot more people, with an ounce of cooperation from everyone we can crush them under our collective weight.
Bet your saying, I'm just a newbie/independant, what could I do ? More than you might think.
You can help secure an alternate trade route. Killing the pirates in low sec systems around gates, or helping others do so in gangs.
You can help sustain the blockade if you own a cruiser. Or simply by checking in on the folks holding the area and bringing them supplies such as ammunition, cap chargers, etc.
This can be done with off the shelf ships and componants, just keep in mind you will have to makeup the firepower advantage with more ships.
If your unwiling to cooperate on some level for mutual defence, then prepare to be preyed upon.

Or we could all get micro warp drives and just run the blockades and laugh at them sitting there for hours with nothing to do as you fly by...
1 microwarp drive you do 2000 m/s coming out of warp...that should get you to any gate in 5 seconds.
2 micro stacked about 20000 m/s (lol this might actually make you miss the gate cause you are going so fast)
either way, the aren't going to touch you.

Just wait for jump drive operation and modules.
You won't ahve to use gates anymore.
Wonder what will moo camp then.

If gate-to-gate jumping is implimented <sp?>, this tactic of MWDing through blockades would most likely change. The enemy will simply park ships on both sides of the gate. You will arrive at a complete stop, lagged (more so) if there are canisters floating there (from destroyed ships...really). Then again, sentry guns are supposed to be involved too. Let's hope they are effective.
I wonder if M0o would allow scavengers into their area to keep things clean. Q.E. New Dawn Corp.

Most of the cargo containers are the pirates that spawn on us (on slow days) or crap that isn't worth hauling out (on busy days).
So we DO let scavengers in to loot up whatever they wish (for a fee). _____ m0o

And a minor detail which you conveniently leave out here Axelay is that it lags the hell out of incoming ships so you have enough time to have him locked and near to death before his environment loaded and his sensors got through that stupid warp-interference.

regarding the original post. I think a much better way to trap m0o would not be to tell everyone the plan on an open forum.
And, to be honest, it's a little basic. I have a player destruction uber-plan, but I'm not gonna give away the details (nor am I gonna do it, I'm too pleasant) but you never know when you might need to use something like that. But if your enemy can tell what you are going to do, your plan is ineffective.
ie. in the case of your scenario - they would just equip with MWD's and blast through. they know it's possible, people do it to them all the time.
here's a couple of pertinent quotes:
"No battle plan survives past the initial encounter" "Loose lips sink ships" "Never underestimate the power of revenge" .

Several other problems arrise as well. Alot of corps/freelancers mine alot save there pennies then buy themselves a cruiser.
They dont understand how this game works to its full extent and fear for the life of the ship. You get 20 people together some one will die and who will replace there hard earned ship?
Have a BP and make new ships when you loose them. If you have a corp of 10-15 people find other similar corps and form a friendship. Create an empire based on a grouping of smaller corps who work with each other and can still maintain there soverinty. Together you can buy bp's and copy them for each smaller faction. There several other possabilities.
Treat this a little like real life. The little man always looses out so aim to be the big man.
Our corp lost 3 ships to M0o. We have already replaced them. All we have is some bruised ego's but i know they have learnt a few things about the game in doing so.

It does. I blew up an indy full of bistot once and got, um, an afterburner and a miner 1. First thing I did of course was equip them on my Moa and head out to kick some ass!! ___________________________________________

Clone Activation Clones and advanced clones are now implemented, but due to a shortage of biomass, stations have been unable to accept orders for clone activation.
Hmm in recent review of ccp's own clone statement, we need to harvest biomass, only way of getting it is to pod people. However, according to lana jones, he/she wants to get rid of alts, ok get rid of them and half to 3/4 your player base. Most people I know have a tech guy, miner guy, and a fighter guy. Why? because your fighter dies, you won't lose your indust skills nor your miners skills. Makes sense to me atleast. Oh ya, btw, our blockades will be featuring some new ships, so be on the look out, you should see battleships among us. When the devs did thier little special action, they revealed a battleship can kill a cruiser in 1 shot, so hey, this will get messy quick me thinks.
Pod ya later.. Ywev
