I don't know what to name this yet, can one of you please give men idea?
it is rather simple.
It is an ability to warp 1 AU in whatever direction you are facing.
I would like to see this added.
Like it? Don't like it? Something to add?

not sure that's "possible" since if you look in the backstory bits somewhere, it tells you that warp drives work by locking onto the gravity fields of stellar objects (or the artificial gravity fields of stations/stargates etc.)
another thing, that feature would be heavily abused to make off-scanner safespots (move up/down, warp 1 AU, rinse and repeat)

far-reacher probe, finds ships outside the majority of the stars gravity well. guaranteed because of the lack of objects out that far.
