Well, this is flown by a young character, 2.5m SP. I currently fly this now, as we speak, but the numbers are from EFT (easier) CPU 613.5/532.5, PG 17285/18600, cap neutral (-95.1/+105.6)
High Slots: 5 x 425mm Prototype rails w/ Plutonium charges (38+24) 2 x Dread Gurista Assault Missile Launchers (foxfire) 1 x Drone Link Augmentor
Med Slots: 1 x Republic Fleet 100MN AB 3 x True Sansha Cap Recharger
Low Slots 1 x True Sansha Large Armor Repper 1 x Gallente Navy Large Armor Repper 1 x True Sansha Armor Kinetic Hardener 1 x True Sansha Armor Thermic Hardener 1 x True Sansha Armor Explosive Hardener 3 x True Sansha Capacitor Power Relay
Well, any suggestions you might have to improve this ship's fitting would be appreciated. "Buy a CN Raven" won't be; I don't have Caldari Frigate I, much less the ability to fly a Raven or a Rokh.
Thanks again

How are you flying this now if the CPU doesn't fit? Originally by: Joueuse deMarches 2 x Dread Gurista Assault Missile Launchers (foxfire)
Why fit Assault launchers when you get a bonus to Large Hybrid Turrets? Sounds like too much tank and not enough gank. Try fitting some Magnetic Field Stabilizers.
Over all impression is that this setup is a complete waste of ISK. Looks like you have been playing with ETF too much and/or have spent too much money on GTC's.
There is no need for so many faction modules, especially on such a young character. This is a kill mail waiting to happen.
Lag is not a valid reason for reimbursement, and it would only take 1 disconnection at the wrong time for this who setup to go pop.

Edited by: Joueuse deMarches on 26/02/2008 23:23:47 the CPU bit was a typo; fixed in the original post now.
The reason for the missile launchers was two fold; I don't have the pg to fit more large turrets (though I could do a full 7 325mms), and I'm a solo missioner, and wanted some anti-frigate stand-off beyond drones.
WRT the waste of money, I am primarily a trader, and actually generate the money required. It's a lot, 3/5rds of my assets, and it's a vanity ship as much as a functional mission runner, but I do use it, am using it right now, and just want to improve upon it.
If I overtank, it may be because I'm a touch nervous about losing it, as well as being a bit worried about odd exigencies that come up missioning alone. (warp scrambled while being pounded by 4 npc battleships, it'd be nice to be able to absorb the damage long enough to kill the frigate and warp out.)
Well, thanks for the input. More opinions welcome.

LOL, I move around, and is my setup really worth the suicide gank required? I stick to high-sec...
PS This is an alt character.

Use drones to kill small ships, not missile launchers. Remove 1 large rep and all your cap relays, the ship is way over-tanked. To get the most out of your navy mega you need to fit 7 425's and 3 magstabs.

This.
Also, when running one rep, you might want something like an Amarr Navy LAR (more repping, more cap) or a Brynn's Modified/Core C-Type LAR (almost as much as an AN rep, less cap) or some other repper. Furthermore, you shouldn't need the CPU-use hardeners - GET YOUR SKILLS UP. ESPECIALLY the fitting skills and support skills need a boost. ---- WTB Armor Nerf Hardener II, 10^100 isk OBO |

They really don't cost that much... Trading (read: arbitrage) is something low-skill characters can do well.

What's wrong with those hardeners? I thought the resist bonii from them were best of breed (I mean, other than complex or officer versions of the same..).
I realise I need to train skills, and I do, but I have a variety that need attention ;-)

So... I just started playing eve and do not know if this done but.... heard one can try and be creative in earning isk here :P
I flew a mission with this character in my cruiser so I do know their main's name and likely places that they would be. Said person bragged continuously in fleet chat about this ship and some others that they have. I am positive they are the same person both based on the fitting described here, the amount of SP described, and the way this person writes. Bit of a ***** really.
Anyways, if you are interested in the information -- willing to sell such information for a low negotiated price. Half before and half after you manage to find the pilot in the navy megathron. E-mail me at [email protected] if interested with "Eve" in the subject heading. I don't know if anyone will take me up on this - but at least will make Joueuse's main look over their shoulder a bit :D

People are bored when there grinding isk. 2 months old is basically fishy sps to be bragging about the faction BS. To start ranting about Evefit as well means he really isn't new. The said character is sitting in a trade hub trying to bait people either to attack or buy worthless info.

Okay, everyone is speculating on whether or not this ship exists, and how it was funded - I'm looking for real advice on how to improve it.
I get the "less tank, more gank" advice, are there any other perspectives on the actual ship (rather than imprecations on its owner)?

Edited by: Einor Deminre on 27/02/2008 22:27:03 Edited by: Einor Deminre on 27/02/2008 22:25:59 In my Navy Mega i run:
HIGH 7x named 425's
MED 4x Cap Recharger T2's
LOW 1x LAR T2 2x Kinetic Hardener T2's 2x Thermic Hardener T2's 3x Magnetic Field Stabs T2's
RIG 3x CCC
Drones 3x Warden T1's 5x HammerHead T2's
Works like a charm, it has 12.5k armor HP, and with 84% kin and 84% therm, that works out as a HUGE buffer, giving you plenty of time to reduce incomming dmg to an amount you can tank with 1 LAR.
I seriously suggest you dont fly it untill you can mount a T2 armor repair, 7x 425's, 4x Hardeners and 3x Mag Stabs. Once you have that cap stable you got it right :)
This is a Megathron afterall, its a skill intensive ship, you will need good skills to fit tank and dps.
Dominix on the other hand just needs a tank and drones in the bay. Its a much easiere starter ship.
EDIT: and as mentioned, you change hardeners for EACH mission. Look up the mission on eve-survival.org, and change hardeners accordingly!
