Just had an event there in espigoure. We got told that there were slave traders in the system, a 2million isk Armageaddon and minmatar slaves controlled by chips in the escorts of cruisers. A task force of about 20ships, consisting of Dark Avatar and Dal Gurak in their battleships at the head, wapred in and assaulted the party. We killed all ships and podded all but one i believe, with the loss of only 1 ship. Contrats to everyone who took part, the developer in the arma who nearly got us with ew, and the ccp team for the lag. ----------------------------------------- Everlasting Vendetta PVP Commander, yarr

All slaves were executed, as was their incompetent master. Whilst the trader began with a display of skills worthy of an Amarrian even these failed them when he was submitted to multiple sensor dampeners, including two provided by my own vessel.

We assualted them in a belt in the system mentioned. At first those at the head, which was me and several others, found themselves sensor dampend and unable to attack. Within a few moments however the rest of our fleet engaged the targets and distracted them long enought for those with the large guns to lock on and fire, after which it was over. They could not withstand the attack. I laid the finishing blow on the primary taget, as reported by concord.
"2004.04.04 21:39:00 For your termination of Evian Barahan we have paid you the bounty that was set to his head: 2,000,000 ISK"
What was unclear however, is throughout our fleet there was mention that the slaves were attack us. This could have something to do with these new chips, or something else... Either way it was an waste of life. And finally, Evian Baraham said he would have his revenge. If he does or not remains to be see, but Magma Dragon and I will be waiting.
Another cold and lonely rainy day comes to an end. I have to clean my mind before I sleep or else I tend, to close my eyes and realise there's nothing there but light. I need shadow, I need darkness, to help me through the night. |

You may rest assured that the chances of any rogue slaves running around were very slim indeed.
Personally I heard about it in the missions channel, where the person who mentioned it said they'd heard about it in the 'eve' channel - which I have to say I'd never even heard of before. In turn I passed on information to my corp and to the Amarrian channel.

Oops. I guess they weren't Ammatar or controlled by those mind control chips after all. And what the heck happened to the pods they would have been in? I sure didn't pod them.

They had it coming, an escaped slave is automatically under sentence of death.

This is a very sad day. I regret to inform the general public that I was there for this hunt. Alas a malfunction in my Arbitrator prevented me from warning the Slaver and attempting to defend him against the crazed Minmatar Horde that descended upon him.
I will always regret the unnecessary death of the brave Armageddon pilot who died to protect his right to keep slaves. I will not say his name here lest he wish it to remain concealed but here's what I have to say to him:
You should've accepted the convo when I attempted to offer you the services of several loyal Amarrian warriors and a Caldari friend of mine. You would perhaps have survived with your entire slave mining operation intact, I apologize for not speaking with you in the local comm channel, severe malfunctions in my vessel (sabotage? we will never know since Hooligans of War later destroyed it and its entire crew of 400 with their overwhelming power of 3 scorpions, several cruisers and 2 kestrels just outside Misaba's borders) prevented me from being there at the fight where you valiantly fought and died.
Perhaps the enraged Minmatar would have succeeded even if I and my friends had assisted him in our cruisers and interceptors.. If only I had an Apocalypse with which to aid those in need... Damn slow factories in Minmatar space don't use slaves so I have no battleship.. But I digress.
I must meditate and pray for several days on how I can amend for my failure on that dark day.
