how GoonSwarm are using material from terrorism (all this 'jihad', 'allah' etc) to describe their suiciding hulks? Personally, I find this offensive, and CCP's actively advertising it even more so (ingame news item). Terrorism should not be glorified or promoted in any way, and attempting to compare a campaign of griefing in an online game to terrorist attacks where thousands of people have died or been seriously injured, is unacceptable.
Yes, everyone has worked out by now that Goonswarm have alts selling hulks for profit and this is all just an attempt to inflate prices, but making a comparison to a violent and hateful real life religion that exists to incite violence against people is, in my opinion, offensive, and the promotion of it by CCP is even more offensive.
I have to say that if I ever see anyone posting this 'jihad' or other offensive material in local, I will not hesitate to petition you for offensive language, and I encourage everyone to do the same.

The terms 'jihad' and 'allah' were not associated with terrorism until USA propoganda machine started working.
Teyrala is from USA, right? People from other countries probably won't find this offensive, since they have not been conditioned to think of terror when they think of jihad or allah.

Not really. Most conspiracy theorists ignore structural integrity experts opinions. Matter of fact, I was watching that attack on TV with a bunch of friends, a couple of them civil engineering students. As cruel as it sounds, we were making bets on how exactly the buildings would handle the stress. The civil engineers won the bets. The explanation they gave for their reasoning (after they won) was that the fire over there was strong enough to WEAKEN the supports, so once any of the supports collapsed, the rest would collapse almost immediately afterwards, and the sheer weight of the top floors crashing down would cause exactly that kind of "controlled demolition"-like collapse. Well, anyay, that's not really the point, and the US agencies MIGHT have (willingly, unwillingly, who knows) provoked or even assisted (most likely due to sheer incompetence at the top decision-making levels, rather than malice) the attacks. You can't deny however that the "fallout" of the attacks was pretty darn convenient for the people in power at the moment. And you certainly can't exclude the possibility of the attack being LEFT ALONE to happend, just to further "the greater good".
Of course, that's just playing devil's advocate for the heck of it. You simply can't KNOW either way, and none of the possibilities are too unlikely to be completely excluded.

wow, and i suppose the spanish inquisition were just picking daisys? and oliver cromwell and the puritans were misguided? i think you need to do a history check my friend and see how ALL religions have been used by the people in power to intimidate and terrorize populations time and time again into subjugation and fear. and yeah the word jihad as been around ALOT longer than the 21st century, and for the record, so has terrorism.

The use of the word 'Jihad' is fine.
Okay, phew - glad that's over with. Back to normality.

I've personally reported multiple posts on the forum with them claiming that suiciding in hi sec is the "will of allah" and things like that. I also sent a 1 page petition to [email protected] requesting a ban for all parties involved in accordance with forum rule 11.

oh and one more thing its widely known that america was funding the IRA a "TERRORIST" organisation that killed around 3000 people through bombings and shootings in the UK and ireland in its 30 year history, so once again double standards seem to be in play...

FYI, the fire weakening support beams argument has already been disproven.

Hello ? CIA trained and armed more than just the IRA. Yeah, the #1 hunted terrorist of the day has had CIA advisors, funding and training back in the day he was "fighting" the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.

FYI, it wasn't. It was disputed, and it remains controversial to this day.
More to the point, the main counter-argument was that "the steel the supports were made out of were meant to withstand the heat that could have been generated by the fire". Yeah, that's true, they wouldn't have MELTED. However, you don't have to melt something in order to weaken it enough so it no longer supports the same weight. And the fire there COULD have caused enough of a weakening for the collapse. There's no conclusive evidence of any "foul play" EXCEPT the plane crashes themselves.
Keyword, "conclusive". You can interpret that any way you like, as I'm sure you will.

durkha durkha muhammed jihad, bakkala shilpa shetty.
tbh im waiting for the day that there is a 'life of brian' made, the only time genuine hurt and pain is ever caused is when people take themselves too seriously, a'la the american politburo and fundamentalists of any religion. i do not find the goons guilty of this.
