Edited by: Gem Gafaar on 28/02/2008 17:06:11 OK there were lots of debates and suggestions for setups for Rev, but as they have been nerfed it's probably time that we started looking at what current setups would work for them and how to use them. If anyone is still using them and having any success in PVP I would be very interested. Any suggestions??

Can't remember the exact setup I use, but it goes something like this:
High: - 2 Med Neuts - 1 Med Nos - Cloak
Mid: - 2 Tracking Disruptors - Med Cap Injector - Webber - 7.5km scrammer
Low: - 2 Medium Reppers - Power Diagnostic - Plate - EANM
Drones: T2 Hammerhead...
Something like that, I'm probably missing some slots somewhere or something. And of coure, use T2 or best named where you can.
This setup works fine for "relaxed PvP." Relaxed PvP = Ganking hauler and frigs, cruisers, and some bc. (Basically targets you know you can take.) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I used to use the Pilgrim and Curse quite a bit. Now they are only hangar decoration. ------------------------------------------

High: 2x Med Dim NOS, Med Unstable Neut, COCD II Meds: 10MN AB II, Scram, Web, 2x ECM Lows: MAR II, 1600mm RT, 2x EANM II, Energized Thermic II Rigs: Ancillary Current Router I, Anti-Kinetic Pump I Drones: Hammerhead II
Forget about the Tracking Disruptors. Best Tracking Disruptor is getting to 0m to your target, as at 0m turrest don't do damage because of the mathematics there is. ECM works much better, as you can reduce the damage from Missiles as well.
For hunting Ravens in 0.0, 2x Gravimetric ECM does the job really good. .

No.
The pilgrim is an under performing death trap. You can be the best player in the world and you're still boned in this ship trying for anything besides mission ships and newbs.
The Curse is meh now. It doesn't scale well in larger gangs and can't solo things on gates or stations since it doesn't web. Now it's also hard countered by a single large nos unless you're running a faction point.
Basically you need to run the curse in a small gang to have it be worth bringing and you already need tackle.

Curse is still great for taking down most ships smaller than a battleship. As long as you can kill them before they kill your drones really.
I fit a shield buffer on mine instead of EW.
Pilgrim makes a nice paperweight.

Your tactics work great for solo PvP, but that is a very small part of this game.
Tracking disruptors are going to be extremely(IMO) usefull in the next patch, but I fear that instead of seeing them on pilgrims/curses, we will see them on just about every damn ship in the game with a spare med slot, kinda like pre-rev ECM. They aren't even out yet, but I can't wait for them to get the nerf bat hard and for the ships like the curse to get a hefty disruption bonus so that TDs would be as powerful as they are now on the ships they are intended to be used with.

Does anyone have a Curse setup that they would be willing to share? I am interested to see how people are flying them now.

My actual curse setup :
2x med unstable neutra, 2x arbalest assault launcher (not enought pg for other module), 1x recon probe launcher (important for me)
1x 10mn SS mwd, 2x LSE II, 1x med cap inj (charge 800), 1x cap recharger II, 1x SS disruptor
2x overdrive II, 1x nanofiber II, 1x co-processor II
2x rigs polycarbon
5x hornet II 5x warrior II 5x Vespa II 5x Valkyrie II
i use the curse for small gang to low secure system, work nice.

Mixing nos and neut is stupid. Pilgrim is the best recon 0.0 hauler though, curse is fine all things considered. ___ Eve Players are not very smart. Support Killmail Overhaul
