well the biggest advange I can see is that they could run 3 smartbombs AND 8 weapons worth of dps.
Also I personal think the golem is the worst ship to use when there are logistics on the other side.
unless your close I suppose.

MC made themselves vulnerable to both the logistics gangs and ECM gangs both of which are in abundance :)
I guess that gambling on sume setups not occuring doesn't work.

Also they can fit remote reppers in their highs if I am not mistaken.

As stated I think the setup wasn't the right one. Doesn't mean that teh marauder setup was bad. maybe just not the right ones.
It's still early in the tourney though. Everything is up to change. <----------------------------------> Carebears aren't people, they're giant flying piniatas.

well cap Might be an issue you'd have to have capacitor transfers to create free cap and then you might not have the high slots left.

Just to clear a few things up.
The marauders were never jammed, not once. We did lose target once to being damped, but with a swap of scripts we were able to continue to target the enemies.
The rook was called primary because even with the ECCM, we were still worried about not being able to target each other for remote repairing. We did have 2 large remote armor reps on each of the Golems.
The bouncers were an absolutely amazing idea that we were not expecting, and it caught us completely off guard.
Great match, see everyone tomorrow.
Lets hope "Plan B" works better. =)

Since we will not be repeating the same setup, I will state that the marauders had 4 turrets, 2 large remote reps, and a large smartbomb. The smartbombs were to counter combat-drone spammers, which is what we thought we were facing when the man said go.
We were set anti-drone, anti-ecm, anti-damp, and had decent spider tanks. The bouncers were outside of something we planned to fight, it was a very strong move on their part.

IMO, in hindsight, the only correct move we could have made would have been to primary the bouncers.
Any ship that we could have targeted would still have resulted in our tanks breaking before we could have neutralized the DPS from those drones.
The golems did switch targets to the guardian and we were rewarded for our efforts with faction cruise missiles hitting for 30-50 damage a missile depending on resistance.
I was very happy with the ships and setups that we put on the field, but 3b a match on the line is just too rich even for MC's wallet. ;)

Well. You hear people say that Amarr need a boost. Tbh, wake up. Paladin is probably the best bet you have here for a Maruader. Seeing as it managed to hit a megathron of mine from 160km + for over 800 damage. (yeah, h4x?)
So personally, i'd like to see a paladin fielded today in the Tourny would be a nice change. And great to see someone using more amarr!

Me too.
3 Paladins is on my list of teams that would do well.
3 Abaddons is still better though, due to the amount of support you can bring.
