ok just wondering, i was asked to help this guy out earlier today. just out of kindness i go change to my cargo ship to go help him carry some items for him. now i help him out and he just starts attacking me and nearly destroying my ship and asking for 3mil ok i don't give him the money and i let my ship get destroyed. is there any thing i can do about this at all?. i could of tried to find him but didn't want to risk losing my destroyer from the police. is this allowed at all, like he asked for help and then wanted to get money out of me like wtf is that even allowed or is there no game rules for that?

Its a very simple rule for eve....if your not paranoid your dead.
Always assume cries for help are an attempt to trap and kill you.
Only help people in your pc corp or alliance or if they are blue to previous.
IF they are neutral ingore them and if they are red kill them.
Keep these simple rules close to your heart and you will be reasonably safe.

You should have set up a hauler to jam and scram and neut him and chew him up with a single turret or even a smartbomb. Pack an insane armor tank in the lows. Why not? If he turned out to be honest you could still have used your cargobay to haul, and he'd never have known.
