I would just like to say I agree with Earthan that IMHO having logistics and ewar adds alot of enjoyment watching the tournament. If we could more easly see which ships are being ecm'ed by one anther, I think it would help to see the tactics more theo.

Maybe it would get more interesting for the viewer if eve tv could manage to get a more sophisticated display, where the viewer can see which ship is currently jammed, maybe even the cap status of each ship.

Ok i have just rewatched some matches and i really dont understand how pure dps setus are more fun to watch.
I watched the Noteriety Alliance against Synchronicty and it was just boring for me.Sure Ntoriety did great , and the dps was jaw dropping.But it wasnt just so interesting , it was just call primary kill (maybe some ecm drones on one of guardians ).It was just boring.
On other hand i can also agree , even though for me it was ultra exciting:), that hydra us smash was prety boring.
Its just imho exciting matches doesnt depend on dps or amount of reps, its just you must have 2 matched teams that have to react to each other.

I dont think dual logistics is boring at all. We just like to make fun of long fights because, well, it's funny.
And as we've seen multiple times, dual logistics is eminently beatable.
Dual logistics really isnt the issue, people are just MAKING it the issue. The real issue is teams who come to the tournament with a pure defensive setup (eg, Scorpions) that has no real way of killing anything. And we don't slate that because it's boring, we do so because it's stupid and pure defense doesn't get you points! It's not a bad move because it makes bad TV, it's a bad move because it doesn't win you the tournament.

This always comes up in combat type sports actually.
I'm a boxing fan, and I like to see a skilled display of boxing by both boxers - to me that makes a good fight.
While there's nothing really wrong with a brawl anyone can enjoy that, but some people only like the brawls and not the skilled display of controlled boxing.
The only things that are boring are obvious stalemates, and dominant matches, imo. Even then if the dominant team shows alot of skill being dominant that can be fun too. So really it's only the OBVIOUS stalemate. Just because a match goes to the bell alot of exciting/dramatic events could have occured.

Why is it less exciting?
Because stuff doesnt blow up as much.
If you like it for the technicality and proper execution of an exact strategy- your a nerd.

no actually if i like the technicality and proper execution of an exact strategy im prolly inteligent not nerd.
However most of us are nerds anyway cause we play ammorpg most of our free time :)
And i like a dramatic match with many swinmging of chances from one side to toher , some reacting to enemies move etc. not only the above.
