Well, boys and girls,
CCP's second Interstellar Correspondent contest's window for entries is now officially closed. There were 20 entries all in all, and our hard-working panel of judges will now begin the arduous task of poring over each and every story to determine which three will propel their creators to galactic stardom.
As stated before, winners will be announced on April 19th, two weeks from now. After that, pending the authors' permission, we will put up the rest of the entries on the EVE web site. Those who submitted entries can give their permission by either posting it in this thread or sending a quick word to [email protected].
We'd like to thank everyone who submitted a story -- there were some very entertaining reads. Come April 19th, keep watching this space.
All the best, Gnauton

I offer my permission to release my submission. Good luck to everyone who submitted (I'm amazed there were only 20) and I'll be waiting with held breath until the 19th.

You have my permission - good luck to everyone that entered (as posted above - only twenty entries.. must have been a busy fortnight for EVE players or something!) and I can't wait to see what the talented EVE community writers came up with.
Thanks very much.

I hereby give my permission for my rediculous story to be posted after the winner is announced.
I wish everyone the best of luck with their stories. Oh, there are going to be three winners? /me crosses his fingers It's an old Gallentean thing which is supposed to give you luck - I'd need luck to do well with my entry. I'm afraid i just threw it together in a hurry to get onto my coursework. I didn't have the time to research names or places for the story, but I hope the judges take into consideration that it's the style and type of story that matters since if there's news to report, we'll be given the name of places and the parties involved.
Best of luck, guys. I look foreward to reading the entries in two week's time.

Yep, feel free to publish mine too. I'd like to point out that my entry, which is suspiciously similar to an actual EVE news story was written and submitted before it appeared in the news :-)

Hi, guys.
My deepest apologies for keeping you waiting like this.
Due to a few snags in the process, the winners won't be announced until next Friday, the 23rd. The responsibility for this lies wholly with me, so I'm the one you send the bills for your Prozac and your Xanax.
Again, sorry guys. Next Friday, promise.
All the best, Gnauton |

ARGH! I would like to sue you, sir, for mental damages. Shall we say 50million ISK? :D Don't worry about taking too long. From what I've seen, the Dev team have been getting their butts in gear over a few issues that require attention. If it is delayed longer than Friday, though, you can expect a transcranial microcontroller implanted in your clone to make him believe he is a sheepdog and a fleet of battleships on their way to your ship to "help activate" your clone ;)

And the way it should be too - theres no place for any of the lesser races here is there? Well unless one of them wants to go fetch some Amarrian 'Yuirir' Light Cream Wine for me in a chilled glass. And they better make it snappy! -----

Its mainly because Amarrians have such a low intelligence rating, they get attracted to the tabloid nature of this competition. "Baby born with three heads and six feet Shocker!" is the sort of this that stimulates the amarrian mind
