Lots of whining and negativity, so I thought i'd start a warm fuzzy thread for everyone to pick their favourite team (not nesisarily who you think will win overall, just the one you like the most)
Notoriety has impressed me, love the faction setup.

I liked Star Fraction for not fielding dual logistics and being damn lucky with ecm and for providing a fun fight. GL __________________________________________

the phastasms where badass.
I've never seen such silly alpha damage, they would do great fighting bombers too.

Notoriety's kit really makes me smile. Phantasms are cool.
Ushra'Khan are really cool for bringing on the gank every match with varying degrees of support and still kicking the living daylights out two of the 'top' teams in their group.
And ofc TRI because its us \o/ _____________________________ Fear is the mind-killer.

The cop out answer here is U'K, of course im rooting for us and enjoyed our matches the most, but that aside I was entertained by the MM team, and have enjoyed watching SF.
Id expect the ultimate winners will be one of the bigger players, but those have been the most fun for me to watch.

I don't expect us to get any love introducing the Triple Twos, two battleships, two logistics, two frigate combo.
On behalf of Nebula Rasa I'm sorry it got copied so much.

Notoriety was impressive, the Phantasm's worked quite well. And kudos for pulling out blaster Moa's, who would have thunk it! My question though, were the Moa's running heavy assaults to complement the close range fit?
Also the KIA match on day 3 was a good one, back and forth, quite exciting.
So my fav's are Notoriety, and KIA so far

Hang on, it's not a terribly complicated setup to come-up with, i'm pretty sure you guys were just the first to USE it, nor think or practice it!

Edited by: Malar on 03/03/2008 23:43:49 Guys. Its just a setup. You don't see me complaining here for every second match being a dual logi repfest. :)
My favorite team for the weekend is United Legion tho. They did really lay down some serious firepower with their setup there. :)

1. Notoriety's Phantasm usage - they put out a lot of hurt and it was good to see them put to use as something a little different.
2. KIA - their Smartbomb usage with the two Megathrons to get rid of enemy drones before deploying their own. A very useful tactic which swung the fight in heavily in their favour.
3. Without being biased, i like Ushra'Khans's balls out display of going in with all out maulage and putting Minmatar ships to use.

I have to say Triumvirate and Ushra'Khan, first for their brutal abbadons in third match (and yea ofc, being my alliance) and latter for their constant Rupture ganks. I just love that ship.

Tips hat. Got to give your guys respect. That was totally not what we'd expected to see. I think the general conversation when we warped in was along the lines of: 'hmmm... well its going to be messy!'
Good fights so far and we're firm in our belief that the remaining two competitors will 'bring it'.
Good luck to all teams fighting tomorrow and onwards.

Same here. Both teams put on fights that were very fun to watch, and yeah... love seeing those Phantasms and Ruptures.
Kind of a pity we were too late on registering for this tournament, would have been fun (though we probably would have gotten our asses kicked :). Oh well, maybe next time.
