About two weeks ago I was playing EVE fine and everythinhg ran smoothly; nothing to complain about.
About a week ago I cleared my cache as many people do and suddenly, I encountered a variety of problems. The first problem was taking about 4 hours to "aquire the bulk data". When I finally managed to log in, things seemed fine.
I went out in my shuttle just to check by warping to various celestial objects. The first few warps went fine but soon, problems arose. For example, I warp to Belt 1, then at arrival of the belt, I warp to belt 2. At this point the warp bar wouldn't show and so I tried to warp the belt 2 again. With no response I waited. 10 minutes later the shuttle appeared to go straight in to the middle of a warp tunnel then in a flash i was sitting in belt 2, minus the asteroids. a vfew seconds later the shuttle seemed to jump backwards into the belt with 'roids.
I faced a few more problems with my raven. Module lag was common, extending from 30 seconds to 5 minutes to turn on/off a module. Occasionally, target locking caused me to disconnect.
Eventually, I petitioned. I was asked for a few bits and I complied, attaching the requested files. I have had no answer as yet. My fellow corp mates suggested a few actions, some minor, some very drastic. From clearing cache, settings to uninstalling, system restore and re-downloading. I'd tried it all.
Currently I can not even log in to my characters. Strangely, on some nights (2300 onwards) I can play without any issues whatsoever. My normal playing times are 1900 for a few hours and from these times i can not do a thing, and this time is when i seem to experience the bulk of my problems.
I have: - Cleared cache - Deleted settings file - Reinstalled EVE - Re-downloaded EVE - Disabled wireless on my router and used a cable - Altered router settings so that my computer is the only one accepted - Created several EVE folders - Petitioned - Waited
None of these things have helped permanently, some worked for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Does any one have any suggestions?
