DAN RATHER
Five celebrating Israeli "movers", (Mossad agents), were arrested and placed in solitary confinement for weeks after they were spotted in a white van suspected of attempting to blow up the George Washington Bridge.(On Sept 11, 2001)
Israeli owner of Urban Moving Systems - Dominick Suter - then suddenly abandoned his "moving company" and fled for Israel on 9-14.
Israeli "movers" and other Israelis whose actions raise serious suspicions. They are always quietly released and deported.

Flaws in your arguements
1. NORAD did not stand down, nor was it NORAD's job to protect our interior airspace at the time, NORAD's job was to deal with outside threats. Therefore they were never watching our airlines until after 9/11 when their mission changed.
2. Knowing something is going to happen vs knowing exactly what is going to happen are two completely different things. There is no way to cover every single approach, exit, airport, seaport and every square inch of the country. Even if the government attempted to shut down everything it would have been impossible, the US is too large and theres not enough manpower to ensure every single square inch of the US is guarded and secured at every single moment of the day. How many soldiers, police, and governement agents are there? Not enough to cover all the possible targets of terrorists.
Keep this quote in mind "The bomber will always get through" it applied 70 years ago and still applies today. All one can hope for is to catch as many as you can to minimize damage.
Had the anti terrorist made a move on the intel they had and where wrong it is very possible for the legitimate targets to catch on to the fact their cover is blown and dissapear back into the general population. Which would bring them back to square one having to start from scratch all over again.
It's easy to critisize something you have never done or participated in but once you have you quickly realize that things aren't as simple as you want them to be.

I don't have an argument. I deal with FACTS and INFORMATION
I helped Bob Bowman on his campaign. He has run for President and Congress. I have had personal contact with him and corresponded numerous times with him.
His credentials are impeccable...
He used to fly one of those Jets in the Airforce and served as one of those pilots who protect our airspace.
He says there is no way NORAD could have messed up unless they had been ordered to stand down.
The guy has a PHD in Nuclear Physics and served as head of the Star Wars Program during the Reagan Administration.

I couldnt dig up much on Mr. Bowman, but what i could dig up is that he got out of the air force in 1978. Do you know how many times NORAD's operational procedures changed since 1978. Hundreds if not thousands of times.
About there being "no way NORAD could mess up" NORAD has human beings working in it, its very easy for someone along the line to mess something up.
Your "FACTS" are just selected peices of information that could have come from anyone, and any of the unnamed news source could just be any random joe of the street or the reporters own personal opinion for all we know.

Edited by: Sephra Star on 04/03/2008 13:07:35 I gave you some links with plenty on BOWMAN.
You could spend days boning up on the man without having any problem at all finding all you had the time to read, watch, and listen to.
Besides you can't argue with FACTS...
Also true: In sworn testimony during the 911 Commissions Hearings Transportation Secratary Mineta testified...
SECRATARY MINETA: No, I was not. I was made aware of it during the time that the airplane coming into the Pentagon. There was a young man who had come in and said to the vice president, "The plane is 50 miles out. The plane is 30 miles out." And when it got down to, "The plane is 10 miles out," the young man also said to the vice president, "Do the orders still stand?" And the vice president turned and whipped his neck around and said, "Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?" 2

Which plane is Mineta refering to? The pentagon plane? One of the tower planes? Or maybe it could have been AF1 or AF2.
About Bowman's awards I can't find the Presidents Medal of Veterans for Peace. Either my google-fu is weak or it doesnt exist. Military awards are hard to trust if the recipent was an officer. They have a strong tendancy to write themselves up for the award. Weather they truly deserve it or not.

You don't run for President of the United States and beat Pat Buchanon in a telivised debate as well as the vote, nor do you run for Congress against a well known and well funded entrenched encumbant and get away with falsifying such things.

Agreeing with this, this and "the bomber will allways get through" make perfect sense.

Edited by: Sephra Star on 04/03/2008 15:58:35 I was just laying in bed a moment ago and thought of my own saying for all this MUMBO JUMBO...
You can argue till Doomsday (which is not that far off really) about any given single issue and at times be right and at times be wrong, but to understand the scope of 911 you have to recognize the vast array of factors at play.
You may never come up with a diffinitive explanation, but you can come up with a discernable certainty regarding the the validity of generalities.
There are very few people unless they are of an extreme gullable nature that would believe the official account as published by the media and the Commision, but in all my years of pouring over the facts that I could draw upon and putting them together with all the informations I have come across including the conflicting information which has often necessitated long periods of incubation to sort through it; I know beyond any reasonable doubt that my pot of stew is finally warm.
What I have discovered is that you have to put as many ingrediants into the stew as you can possibly find before sampling the taste.
It is only then that you can determine which ingrediants don't belong in the recipe by the trial and error of taking various ingrediants out and then retasting.
You do that long enough and you may never get a perfect stew, but at some point you will get it close enough to be edible for everyone.

Sig-worthy
Also: I don't know about everyone else, but I was really impressed by all those long words. They may mean that I have only a vague idea of what it was you just said but they were impressive nonetheless! Have you considered a career in politics? -

No, but I have been considering trying to get on at the local VA as a full time volunteer.
My only problem is distance and transportation. I would have to live close by the hospital.

Except I think most people in the UK think he's a prat and of questionable motives, but he's a good speaker and did well against the US Senate as they were suprised that someone disagreed with them and couldn't fathom what to do about it (and they had very little real intelligence when dealing with him). The senate were never going to win that battle of minds.
