To Whom It May Concern: My name is Lance85 and I am speaking on behalf of over 100 mission runners who have over the past few weeks been probed while in missions and lost millions of isk worth in wrecks and salvage; this is due directly to the easy of use of probes and the fact that CCP changed the rules to allow salvaging without criminal flagging. I strongly advice CCP to fix this problem or face a possible backlash from the mission runners of the eve-world. Thank you.

You mean in addition to the backlash of the 50 other threads on this topic?
CCP has stated this is an intended game mechanic. Unfortunately their 'solution' was the marauder class ship so this debate is far from over ^_^

I fail to see how the Marauder class ship fixes this probelm. Not like we can all afford one of those now is it, unless you are implying we should all buy isk that is againest the rules in order to get the ship to fix this probelm. ----------------------------------------------- Lance85

That so called 'backlash' already happened. As a result low sec mission running was mostly devastaded and has not recovered into it's former glory since. Old probing system actually needed skill, new one needs just some luck altho I must say there are some guys out there who did put some considerable effort into scanning and do not depend on just luck to find their targets in systems they have properly prepared scanning bookmark set (around few hundred bookmarks per system)
You can do some things to protect yourself tho, like not using drones, avoiding systems with heavy mission runner population or using scanner in low sec looking for probes and moving away from warp in point.

From what I've gathered the Marauders were intended to salvage as they go so that mission runners could still have a battleshipish ship but also salvage.
But as you point out, they are rather expensive and even if it did address the problem it would only benefit the fairly high end mission runners.

Facts are like pool sticks, if you're not going to get them straight, you may as well not bother playing. :P
Salvaging has never caused criminal flagging in and of itself. There was a brief time when a wreck couldn't be salvaged without emptying any other loot from it first, but that was quickly fixed.
For my part, I'm glad salvaging works the way it does. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Wait till the guy approaches a wreck. Pop it. Repeat.

Indeed, I used to run mish in low sec till I just started getting probed almost every mish, even when local population was, like, 13 people.
I didn't mind losing isk/hour etc etc, but the standing losses were far too great for having to cancel missions which got probed out. Oh yeah, I tried running one mish for it's entire 7 day length, and I kept being probed out by the same group.

They just have to BM the gate, the mission will respawn in the same location give or take 500km and even if their BM is off the Deadspace effect will pull them in on the gate. Once it's found, they know exactly where it is until its finished or canceled.
