I just moved to 0.0 space and I'm broke. Going to start ratting. I can fit my hurricane about 20 times better than I could a tempest or phoon. So, hurricane it is. I think the local rats are angels. Is it possible to take on the 3 BS spawns in a hurricane? I have good armor skill, cant fit T2 everything except my guns. Which will be soon.

I used to rat 0.0 Guristas in an armor-tanked Hurricane and it worked fine.
For angels I'd fit MWD and a shield tank actually, and then gyros / tracking enhancers / speed mods in the lows.
Run in and tear them up and shrug off their (primarily explosive) damage with your shields instead of trying to armor tank with your base 10% EX resist.
You probably won't be able to sustain fire indefinitely, but you should tear through them pretty dang fast with good skills and 3 gyros.

You may have trouble against seraphim and nephilim spawns without tech two hardeners but equipped with n-types and some good judgment, hurricane should carry you through the majority of other spawns, bs or no.

My shield skills arent the best atm. Would a cyclone with a shield tank work better?

I would use a cane still.
6x 220 IIs, HAMs/HML
MWD, 2x LSE II, Explo II
3x Gyro II, PDU II, 2x SPR iI

Its fairly easy I was doing it at one month for abit. That said its extremely slow and alot of warping in and out.

I would suspect that you would be able to use a 4 slot shield tank with artillery.
I find that my Ishtar passive shield tanks Angels much better than it active armor tanks them.
It makes me a sad panda.

I ratted quite a bit in Angels nullsec, and found the hurricane the optimal ship, all things considered. The ability to GTFO when reds entered system was part of the criteria, so battleships were out. Wolf, rupture were fun though ultimately too slow, and i couldn't afford the high slots for the salvager/tractor. My final fit:
6 x 650mm arties ii, salv, tractor
10mn AB ii, orion tracking computer, 2 x cap recharge ii
MAR ii, expl & kin hard ii, 2 x gyro ii, cap relay ii
I forget the angel BS type that deviates from the usual expl/kin damage-- those will get a bit hairy when they triple spawn, but for the most part this was pretty quick and safe. Whatever else you change, keep the 2 gyros, i found them important for quick killing.

my old setup:
5 x 220 scout a/c; fusion ammo, 3 limos ham; fulmination ammo
mwd , web , large cap battery , cap charger
med repper,thermal/kinetic/exp hardener, eanm2, energized reactive2
valk and 4 warriors
falloff rig
use explosive ammo <--
mwd a must so you take less damage as you close, and some of the big angels will try to kite you.. the battery will let you pulse the repper and tank the escorts while waiting for respawn.
