It is obvious you have never tried fitting an apoc using shield tanking.
When shield tanked, it does not have great firepower.
When armor tanking an apoc, your best bet after the patch is:
highslots:
as much dual heavy beams/pulses as possible (but wont be good in long range stuff, still useful in most PvP situations, using different types of crystals depending on range)
medslots:
4x tech2 cap rechargers (or 3 and 1 warp disruptor)
lowslots:
Thermal, explosive, kinetic 50% armor hardeners,
2x (named) large armor repairers,
2x cap relays |

6x megabeams is way more powerful than 4x 1400mms on a Tempest (with minmatar BS lvl 4).
but you cant fit 6 megabeams on an apoc without using power diags or a reactor control |

lol, people use an EM hardener because shields have the least resistance to EM.
EMP L does EM damage, missile users use EM damage/will switch to it.
so no way people will drop their EM hardener when having shield defence,
even if lasers were the crappiest guns in the game. |

I fly Amarr battleships exclusively and the only other race I have even contempleted is Minny due to their versitility. There are configurations taht I can do with Amarr ships that no other race can begin to replicate and I wouldn't change that for a second.
Stop complaining about Amarr ships. If you want to learn how to configure one convo me ingame and I'll be happy to tutor you (or your corp) for a price .
Wow 4 megabeams is sooo much firepower.
best ships post patch will be Tempest & Raven.
they can both still have pretty good firepower at all ranges and very good armor tanking. |

yah yah, we know that energy neutralizers are effective against tanked ships, especially when used on the apoc.
but its a specialized setup, meaning you only use it when you know what you are up
against.. not a good allround setup. |
