There is no best PvP ship. The Ship as good as the pilot that fly's and fitted the ship. You need to find the ship that match your style. Good allround bs are the Tempest/Megathron/Apocalypse. Good for PvP, nice for 1vs1 battles and great in NPC (tanking). Just ask yourself HOW you want to use it, short range/long range/tanking or something else. For Electronic warfare the caldari ships are the best.

Best PVP ship for non-empire fightin' = Raven (if you're halfway competent)
Best PVP ship for empire fightin' = draw between Tempest/Megathron.
That's just my opinion.

Crap, I didn't know that Battleships costed like 100 million ISK!!! 
I only have like 15 million, lol. I thought they were around the same as Cruisers.

i just wanna add one thing, some1 could have already mentioned it:
start with frigates. use frigates, experiment with them ,pvp your friends 1on1 and work on your skills. try to pirate in 0.0; u got nothing to lose.. it's cheap and an amazing learning experience. u wont go home cryin to momma when your 9mill ship gets blown up. and u wont go into severe states of depression for losing a 100mill ship 
i truly regret getting a cruiser too soon. i went back to frig warfare and im still not done learning. now, i dont think i ever wanna use anything else (cept maybe a bb) but a rifter.

well the best pvp ship dose not exsist
all ships are good it depends on skills moduals and a ship that is capabel of having speed fierpower and defense
i know that thorax with microwarp and blasters is good but that dose not make you victorius all the time so i do not recomand any ship in paticuler but ask a frend to fight you try different ships with differnt modual combinations and see wat you tink is the best

Best ship for pvp. Imo is a Domi.
Its the ship every hac pilot is wary of 
Packs enough nos,ew,and drones to make baby jesus cry.
Sucks for conventional fleets.

You gotta figure out your style first. For example I like close range combat all or nothing style, so I went for blasters, on the side I added some utility skills for EW, NOS, etc its for what I call dirty fighting
The size and class of ship totally depends on what you wanna do, sniping can be done in a moa/eagle for skirmish, but you are better off with the new rokh for fleet battles. Wanna do some solo belt pirating then a HAC or Recon might be your thing. Like fast manuvers, dog fights and chasing down the enemy ceptors and dictor is what you want. There is no one ship that can do everything.. a battleship is close to that but keep in mind specialized ships perform better in their specialized role than a BS.

nope, for exsample black bird can jamm any BS and *****it with snowballs
blackbird(Scorpion) a cool ship. Almost any situation can say : nah u losers, u bore me.
But cost of this - u cant kill someone, it`s a BEST self/friends defender ship.
Moa not so bad ship, it`s plus - range. But due in pvp u need to scramble opponent u should go on low range. short range = u need mwd to approch, web to disamble and scramb - all 3 go to med slots, so Moa`s 5% bonus to shield resistance per level. go to hell cuz all u have is a 4 low slots and 1 med. before selling it try blaster-moa setup, try it on a friend to not lose it =)
