That would be the 120 man PURE gang, and the 130 man Smaskill that you jump bridge into system at the same time.
lol ITT tri surprised that we brought a ****load of people when one of our primary systems has a hostile pos dropped there.
oofig, i cant turn a full circle without you being in some new corp.
Wait who are you? Most of the different corps I was in were in FREGE and continued merging into eachother. Technically I've only been in 3 corps, FREGE, MDK, FND ---------------------------------------------- Full circle.

Could have been a blast Tri guys, I will say gf though for putting those super capitals in there and finally dropping that tower. It got the response we all wanted and unfortunately for us the node crashed.
The lag gods are a fickle thing and CCP......
You know I had this whining complaint ready to go but after being able to shoot one full load of T2 rail ammo at darkness then not being able to reload I am just disappointed. I tried and tried and tried to load back in but then I just went to bed knowing full well this thread would be here.
TBH I should have started it myself since I think I was one of the first to get lag kicked.

Logging while being shot at = 15 minutes of aggro. You idiot.
Haha, and what are 15 minutes aggro timer if you have 30 minutes lag so that only a few ships can tackle and shoot and not the full fleet?

In the end the lag got everyone it seems. But claiming that you would have killed those Tri moms if it wasn't for the node crash is cwazy.
Without the lag and desyncing and such they could have stayed remote repping, they could have killed tacklers etc. etc.

I find it very funny you all seem to think the MS would do better logging off (staying in space the full aggro timer) then actually RR eachother.... :D :D :D

Technically we are not invading them. We planted POS to stirr things up a little and as a convenient place to stage our ships in hostile system. We don't siege their station systems.
SK gave us a lot of good fights. Unfortunately largest ones were completely unplayable which is solely CCP's fault. I guess it's what you get when you get two large alliances to fight each other these days.

We're still in "get good fights" mode, we're not seriously attempting to take any space from Roadkill. There are alot of trash talkers, as with most alliances but they bring the fight, cant fault that.

Maybe I'm blind, but I hardly noticed any smack lately. Some joking in local which could be classified as "mild" smack, but nothing too serious, mostly ppl having fun.
TRI make a worthy adversary and I have learnt alot in the past week. If TRI are to return back home I sure will miss them. good fights on our doorstep, and they're alot more fun to fight than Frege and friends awhile back who seemed to explode as soon as you targeted them.
I'm sure SK as a whole comes out a lot stronger out of this one.
There's little a sledgehammer can't fix. If you can't fix it, you need a bigger sledgehammer. If it's unfixable, blame CCP. :p

me thinks 80 fighters could melt anything thrown at it and circle tank each other very well.
so like people lag, affects both, probably saved your enemy alot too.

From what I hear quite a lot of things got "turned back" when the node came up again. Ships, jammers, mods... Sound like a small roll back to me or just really whacky node behavior.
But please keep up the fights, one of these days work will let me play IG and not only here.

How big of a fleet fight can EVE really handle? I mean without it becomes a slideshow? Has anyone ever participated in a 100+ ship fight where they were able to play the game "normally", or is anything larger than 30 or so just asking too much from the current game code?

From what I hear, you weren't there. Go find some exciting moments that you've actually experienced to write about and smack. The only people who should be doing any serious speculation, applauding, or mud throwing (preferably just applauding) in here are Smashkill, Tri, and Pure. If you wanna knock on Smashkill then try the fun thread Peoke made about us, its already been goonified. As for the battle, as of up until the node crashed I fully expected to drop both those Mommies. We had either popped or forced the tri support ships to warp off. We had the mommies bubbled, in structure, and a decent sized fleet of us left on the field uncontested to knock on their hulls. Due to the downright nasty lag (fk u CCP) Tri was unable to log back in or enter the field effectively anymore so yeah I really do think we would have popped those mommies if the node didnt crash (which i called a serious stroke of luck for tri, not because of their lack of skill, but because of the lag that would have cost them mommies). We had the great opportunity because CCP are a bunch of jaggoffs and wont fix the lag, and we failed because CCP are a bunch of jaggoffs and their paper node crashed. End of story, kill the smack. Well there you go, you just said it yourself:
IF the node wasn't buggery you could have killed a mom.
But IF the node wasn't buggery the moms wouldn't have been in that situation in the first place.
So you're logic is a bit flawed :P

Originally by: Galactic Thrasher im sick of being called blobbers, when i sat in system with 150+ russians today... yeaaa we're such bad blobbers, no one else does it?!?
Well, I think that in many cases, this is how people who derive too much of their sense of self-worth from what happens in-game mitigate the idea of having lost a given battle or overall conflict. It's as common as lag in EVE. It's a security blanket.
It is almost always hypocritical because I'd be willing to bet that most who complain about blobbing will themselves "blob" any chance they get. Complaining about blobbing is simply a mechanism to compensate for some short-coming or to somehow feel superior. It's like the 10-man roaming gang whining about getting "blobbed" by 30 when they enter space hostile to them. These same 10 have no compunction about "blobbing" a single ratter or miner or traveller. That is okay, of course. That is skill, naturally. I mean...if they were that serious about "blobbing," wouldn't they just engage in "fair fights" only? They don't because their complaints about "blobbing" never had anything to do with seeking a "fair fight."
Anyone moaning about "blobbing" should just stop. I think it makes you look bad. It's trite. It's meaningless. Get over it.
That said...sounds like it could have been an epic fight--- but it wasn't. Once again, props to TRI for laying it on the line severely outnumbered and in hostile territory.
