Sorry if this has been said somewhere but I can't find it anywhere.
Say a corp was up and running for months, and then its members decided to close it and it becaome officaly [CLOSED].
If another player wanted to open a new corp with there name would they be able to use it as it is closed, or is there nothing that can be done?
Thanks |

also I think this is the wrong forum, try general ... Why do I PvP? Because I love the feeling I get when I see the pretty lights and know that someone somewhere is screaming incoherently at their computer screen. |

Technically you can do that, that is why the [CLOSED] is added so it no longer has the same name, to enable people to open a corp with the same name. At least that is what my GM brosef said.....

You know, 'corp' stands for 'Corporation' which is, in fact, the first word in this forums name, believe it or not. Beets, you're among friends. |

This is possible for Alliances through petition to the GMs, but it is some kind of manual process and very dependent on the case/reason. You can tell because the ID numbers for the alliances change sometimes .. because I guess people forget to pay the bills (Mind you you have to pay the 1bn again)!
You could try this route for a corporation, but I have no idea how they'd react.
At a guess, I'd say you have a chance if: - You were the CEO/founder - The corp was closed by accident and/or the corp was very recently closed
