I have been following the tourney with interest, makes a nice change to the CAOD drama.
Now we all saw dual logistics setups do very well last weekend and so I suspect that they will be really popular this weekend also, expect I wonder if people will think "hmm I bet everyone will go dual logistics and so I will go very heavy ECM" but then the logistics teams will think, hmmm if they go really heavy ECM my logistics might not work so I wll go all out dps and pop their ships" and so on.
WHat do you think the trend will be. I still think the majority of teams will go dual logistics, 2 bs and a couple of frigs.

I'm guessing we'll still see quite a few dual logistics setups, perhaps not with 2 BS, but more things to break the opposing logistics setup while still maintaining their own.

I actully think there will be less dual logistic set ups, i think most alliances will try and create a set up that will rapidly break the usual dual logistic set up and in the end we will see alot more out and out fighting.

That's only a good thing if the commentators don't spend another 20 minutes acting ******** while trying to out-mispronounce each other on the name of a ship. Of course the same thing applies to every other ship so maybe it is the commentators lacking on anything interesting to say which is the problem.

Well, if all they did was rambled about what's happening in the match all the time it'd sound like this.
"OH MY GOD, THE LOGISTICS ARE USING SHIELD TRANSFERS, THIS IS UNPARALLELED LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE SHIELD TRANSFER IS BOOSTING THE SHIELDS OF THE SHIP IT IS BEING TRANSFERRED, TO, REDUCING THE DAMAGE THAT SHIP RECEIVES, AND BOOSTING ITS SHIELDS UP. OH MY GOD, THERE GOES ANOTHER CYCLE, THERE ARE MISSILES GOING EVERYWHERE, YET THEY'RE HAVING ZERO IMPACT, OH LOOK, ANOTHER SHIELD TRANSFER CYCLE! AND IT APPEARS NOW THAT THE GUARDIAN ON TEAM B IS PICKING UP SPEED TO GO INTO A 5KM ORBIT AROUND THE OTHER GUARDIAN, WHAT A BRILLIANT TACTICAL MOVE!"
I'd be bored ****less tbfh, I'd rather hear them complain about the pronunciation of each other, it gives a human characteristic to the commentary.

well i pick up one idea someone posted in another thread:
a: 10 plated vexors with sentry drones (30 sentry drones) lots of mids to play with b: 10 plated arbitrators with sentry drones and 1 defender launcher each (20 sentrys)
or a mix of both ;)

I predict dual logistics setups countered by high alpha strike + anti-drone + jamming setups. Then there will be a decline of dual logistics setups that will be replaced by battleships logistics, though not quite as prevalent. That's my hope anyway. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79 |

I predict more 2 guardian/basilisk, 2 curse, 2 rupture/thorax setups fielded to try to break the cap of the other dual logistic setups.

I predict logistics will fit 3 regards to counter dual-logistic dual-curse builds, resulting in alot of 15 minute stalemates watching 20 points of DPS try to break the passive shield tank of just about anything.

2 typhoons (4 smartbombs, 4 siege launchers, speed tanked), at 5km from each other, side by side, as they beeline towards the enemy, taking out enemy drones as they go for the enemy ecm frigs. 2 guardians behind them, with the rest of the team as griffins..
uber.
