Edited by: Zorland on 07/03/2008 07:28:39 Edited by: Zorland on 07/03/2008 07:28:26 I don't see anything on the forum regarding war against BOB. What is going on in the last few days? How far from killing BOB are the Goons and will they dine in NOL soon? For a while we used to have daily update on the war progress and Mittani was posting the news from the front, but in the last few days it's pretty dead. The very few conclusions that could be drawn looking at the killboards are just not enough for the clear picture. So if you have the information on what exactly is going on, please post here. A nice battle report would be appreciated.

Goons are losing because they are not killing BoB fast enough
Well, BoB killed a good amount of towers the past days. IAC is internally reorganizing, RA retreated to start a war in the drone lands. Mostly harmless pulled out as well as Morsus Mihi. Razor needs to care a bit more about their homeland. MC is away.
I think the war is going great for Goons, NOL will fall this weekend!

Goons and friends are losing towers in their primetime. No posts are forthcoming from either side at this time.
BOB are still losing but not very fast anymore.
Expect to see them make attempts to regain ground in the near future. Will they succeed? Time will tell.

The battle rages on I presume, but the war have now been for over a year, and I am sure some find it boring, and looks for other targets. Even the goons have now decided they find it more rewarding killing mining ships in empire.

Troll? Goons used to post around the clock about the war and that was a source of information for the players that are not participating, but now they just don't do it any more. I don't see why asking for the current view of the battlefield is trolling.

Goons are losing badly without the mega-blob, IAC is falling a part, RA doesn't have the guts for the amount of ISK they lost with that titan. Mostly Harmles are Mostly Clueless as well as Morsus Mihi. Razor had enough of bleeding for the Goons. MC has better things to do, just to stay away from BOB.

I don't understand why. With all of the T2 moon mining poses they have, and all of their plexing profits, they should be able to buy a new titan every week. OFC they would need to avoid attacking whoever is building the titans for them.

BOB is still in NOL and without the uber blob the coalition brings to hold their hands GOONS are unwilling to mount an offensive.
BOB may in the near future poke their heads out of NOL and attempt to regain some space but as they did just recently i doubt they will be willing to risk their huge capital fleet and the morale that would go with its destruction for a sov issue at this time.

I have been reading here and there.
Its pretty much BoB gloating as they sit in a cyno jammed system with 4 titans killing goons.
Its effective but at the sometime frustrating for the coalition.

Well it's kinda slow these days, between the ridiculous cyno jammers combined with 4 titans on grid, fighter blobs, and lag issues it's tough to make progress unless the defenders make a mistake. But time is on our side :)

Yeah but what ya gunna do, titans have already been nerfed. Nerfing them again will make them little more than glorified virtual d1ldos. Maybe if goons moan enough they'll get ccp to put a restriction on the amount of friendly titans alowed in a system at any given time. Its frustration sandbox gameplay at its best, blame ccp . _______________________________ [ 2007.06.07 21:07:22 ] FrankyWave > ransom me guys I am joining XElas !!! |

Well Angor in all honesty I have been on both sides of the fence and I must say that nerfing titans isn't the answer. The ability to get capitals in toa s ystem shouldn't be limited to just one side. it gives an enormous edge to one party.
I dont even think CCP considered a scenario where someone could have multiple titans with cyno jammers. It pretty much means even if you are killing one another one can warp in and blow up your fleet.
How would YOU counter it?

How would that be any different? They would put 1 titan in each system and that puts you pretty much where you started.

That edge was around when the coalition took all the cyno jammed systems in all the regions they now own and took from BOB. The only thing that has changed with NOL is that a lot of the large coalition members have gotten sick of gaining space for RAGOON while others have been reset and shafted cos they were small.

I dont agree with your opinion. I think its just spin to dent coalition morale in to thikning that everyone is running away. I however do feel that maybe before they were comfortable with loosing 100bs's at a time but the ymay not be now.

a) they wouldnt know where to defend b) splitting their forces c) making them choose which systems are more valuable to defend d) 1 titan is better than 4 multiple dd's e) moral breaking, feeling your being butt r@ped from every side.
Ok logistically this might be a nightmare but sending say 50bs's to 3 systems with a further 200 in reserve for the primary target and caps standing by for the first cyno jammer down. I dont pretend to be any good at organising fleets or anything but to me it seems logical, with the numbers the coalition has, to not concentrate everthing on one lagged system defended by multiple titans/moms??? It must make sense.

I'd like to take back my earlier comment. Its a bit like when y-2, qy6 and tpar were under attack.
Obviously since I am not in Goonswarm command I would'nt realy know where they ar eheaded with this. Its important not to let the momentum slow down, although it must be tiring to get lagged to death everyday/play pos wars.
