How would that be any different? They would put 1 titan in each system and that puts you pretty much where you started.
a) they wouldnt know where to defend b) splitting their forces c) making them choose which systems are more valuable to defend d) 1 titan is better than 4 multiple dd's e) moral breaking, feeling your being butt r@ped from every side.
Ok logistically this might be a nightmare but sending say 50bs's to 3 systems with a further 200 in reserve for the primary target and caps standing by for the first cyno jammer down. I dont pretend to be any good at organising fleets or anything but to me it seems logical, with the numbers the coalition has, to not concentrate everthing on one lagged system defended by multiple titans/moms??? It must make sense.
I'd like to take back my earlier comment. Its a bit like when y-2, qy6 and tpar were under attack.
Obviously since I am not in Goonswarm command I would'nt realy know where they ar eheaded with this. Its important not to let the momentum slow down, although it must be tiring to get lagged to death everyday/play pos wars.
tbh i dont think the momentum thing is really that important, why does everybody want bob dead NOW, NOW, NOW. Its not like their going anywhere, growing or getting any majorly stronger (ok they might get a few supercaps here and there but i cant see them taking back any space anytime soon).
Ragoons are probably just replacing losses i'd imagine? Realistically though i think ragoon will probably take approx 1 station system in delve per month now that the focus is on bobs home turf and they aint looking to abandon this region like the rest so things are bound to be slower than previous months of the conflict. _______________________________ [ 2007.06.07 21:07:22 ] FrankyWave > ransom me guys I am joining XElas !!! |

I dont agree with your opinion. I think its just spin to dent coalition morale in to thikning that everyone is running away. I however do feel that maybe before they were comfortable with loosing 100bs's at a time but the ymay not be now.
I do not think that everybody is running away although the facts speak for themselves as MM, AAA and now RA PLUS a few other of the large alliances have pulled out now that BOB is contained and no longer a threat to their space.
And you can hardly deny that a lot of the smaller alliances that helped boost numbers in all time zones were reset and gained nothing from the offensive they lost ships in, even after promises of getting space were made.
But all that aside the fact remains that the coalition took jammed systems before so the question is, why are they finding it so hard now cos i doubt they are willing to admit that it is because BOB did not defend the systems before but is willing to now?.

Its a cunning plan although not too subtle by the members of the coalition to coax BOB out of NOL.
Start minor, low loss wars with each other and give bob a false sense of security then invade when BOB moves out of their dug in position in NOL..

Not that I mind, I'm thankful for the targets, but Goons should try get RA to focus on the objective instead of engaging in new conflicts.
Hey RA, how do you keep an idiot in suspense? Tell you tomorrow.

If they do that then they're stuck out of NOL until those cyno jammers are destroyed/offline so what are you thinking now? :)

Edited by: DT3 on 07/03/2008 10:54:03 I love being an arm chair general!. All this speculation and discussion on tactics makes me want ot do things! If it wasn't for being busy with work I would start my own alliance and shoot people!
Even though I've seen pretty much every facet of eve, I still find myself interested in it however I think the lag would kill the game for me.
To answer the question of the post above me. Leaving 5 titans in a system then having your fleet somewhere in the middle where they can easily reach the system under attack via jump bridges is probably what I would od in BoB case.

I haven't been in Smash long enough to know. Who cares about what Goons think though? I think it's a shame they let those tards back into the community before they are fully rehabilitated.
Also, we are so used to the Tri engagement that we can actually set a schedule. I had time to go play in 9IZ before making it back to BWF last night. Assure you, nobody is worried about anything. Again, just happy for targets within a 20 jump radius.

Nothing much happening Zorland. We planted a bunch of pos monday morning but we're tbqh finding it extremely hard to take down cynojammers and keep them down. BOB are playing defense and doing it well.
It's safe to say that with the current coalition makeup in Delve we're not gonna make much territorial progress. I guess the one saving grace is that quite abit of our forces are off doing other stuff for the time being so we'll just have to make do with this, fight defensively until we can make another proper push. It's in nobodies interest except MC to finish this quickly anyway.
The one thing that sucks is that BOB still has ONE Sov4 system for building supercaps ofcourse, that's not good. :) ---

The problem is lag. Now that BoB is bottled up in a handful of systems there is no more divide and conquer to deal with the lag and you have to do 1000 vs 1000 to even get anywhere. As any member of either side can tell you when you get that big of fights its impossible to do anything and the defender wins because the POS and fighters keep fighting while everyone else lags. It really has nothing to do with the coalation quiting or BoB being able to defend well (although I guess you can call it that but thats just because of lag)

If you have 5 account sharing titan pilots and a cyno jammer and enough pilots to take up most of the system cap if required (i.e. at the point when any pos is to come out of reinforced) I dont see how you are ever going to lose the system tbh.

Oh hey look, a bunch of T.I. and SMASH people talking like they know something about 0.0 warfare go figure.
Basically all fighting is revolving around the cynojammer, once it goes down and the coalition gets a decent number of caps in a system the fighting in that system is over and it's time to move onto the next cynojammer (see QY6).
Unfortunatly taking down a cynojammer is easier theorycrafted than done.
