Edited by: Msobe on 07/03/2008 14:02:28 Each of the amarr BS's can do lvl 4's. There are some I just skip, but suppose you could do most, if not all of them, if you wanted.
The Armageddon has nice damage, weaker tank. So you'll have to tank it a little more than the others. If you can find the room for 3 HS's and a full rack of high damage guns, you're on your way. Don't forget the drone bay! (For cap I use CCC x 3 and 2 cap recharger II's. Not cap stable in my set up, never had a group kill me before I killed it though.)
Apoc will be very nice after the change. I've used it before, and it was quite mediocre. It was able to compensate for its weaknesses by not fitting many cap mods, but it felt like a ship with no real bonuses. The range bonus will change that, and probably make it my mission running ship. (For cap it don't need a lot. 2-3 CCC, maybe a cap recharger. More if you want to dual rep tank, which it can do easily.)
Abaddon is probably the best (Amarr) mission running ship atm. Tank bonus, gank bonus . . . but cap is a major liability. You can't really back up tank n gank well without capping out fast. I usually tank it, fit guns, then fill every rig and leftover slot with cap rechargers and cpr's. Big, slow, tanks like a brick, and melts everything in sight.
None of them are ships you can set up and just forget. You need to at least tank to the mission. I also swap out things like web - if I don't need that, I bring an extra TP instead. It's not hard to see that you'll never be as good with a static set up as if you adapt to the situation. Since Amarr aren't the "best" race to pve with, you need to give yourself advantages where ever you can.
Edit: With the way our BS's are set up, each has strengths, but for pve often ends up using its mods to shore up weaknesses until they fly similarly. Abaddon starts with nice gank n tank, stuffs all its slots with cap. Apoc starts with nice cap, stuffs all its slots with tank n gank. And so on. New Apoc will be the first time an Amarr BS really flies a lot differently than the others. ;-)
