What's the difference between the Sellers area and the Buyers? I need detailed, but simple, explaination, since I've gone through the guides to figure out how the Buyers section works, but I can't understand it.
Thanks!

Buyers place buy orders to purchase goods or select and purchase from a buyer already offering the commodity at a price they can live with. Sellers place sell orders to sell goods. Buy low and sell high unless you want to make my wallet even fatter.

when it says region, which is the highest area you can choose, does that mean the entire server or just the cluster of systems youre in?

A Region is a large cluster of Systems; not the entire server.
If you access the Star Map and filter the settings to display Region Names you can get a good picture.

Keep in mind that most of the stuff you see on the market is put there by players.
Sellers can place orders, which you'll see in the Sell area, to sell their stuff. You can right-click any of those and choose the Buy option to buy from the sellers.
Buyers can buy like you do, with "right-click + buy", but if they want to ask for a lower price, or if the stuff they want to buy isn't available, they can set up a buy order instead, in the buyers area. That way anyone can go to the station where the order is and right-click the item they have and choose "sell".
Here's an example with minerals, tritanium, for example. Some people put up some orders to BUY tritanium for 2.80, and so anyone can go mine and take their tritanium to that station and sell it for 2.80, or whatever the best BUY price is. However, if you don't want to haul your stuff, you can put up an order to sell the tritanium that you mined, for, say 3.00 ISK, and then someone else will have to come to your station and pick it up, if they want it for that price.
Generally, the market will automatically match buy and sell orders, so that if there's a sell order for tritanium for 2.80 in a station, and you put a buy order for tritanium for 2.80 in the same station, it goes through right away and both orders get fulfilled. Otherwise, if something doesn't match (the price, the station where the stuff is), the orders stay up for however long they've been set up for.
Some people make money by buying from one place, hauling, and selling in another price where the orders are higher. You can do that too.

Region referes to the cluster of systems you are in. Check the map for what region you're in and what others you are close to. For instance, I'm in Metropolis, right next to metropolis is Heimetar(sp?). To check the market for a different region you have to fly to that region.

There's supposed to be some kind of an upgrade to the market interface in next week's patch. Let's see!

Yeah... I'm not sure what you're not getting.
The Seller's area has the market orders where people are trying to sell goods, if you place an order for sale you will see it here.
Same thing with Buyer's area, but for buying.
If you're trying to sell something place it up for the cheapest price for the station you're in. (Or it won't get bought until the cheaper items get bought first.)
If you're trying to buy something then if you want it immediately right click on the cheapest item in your station on the Seller's area of the screen. If you're willing to wait to potentially get it cheaper put up your own buy order.

I have my two alts in different market hubs so I can use them to get PC's price checks... Now Contracts, on the other hand, allow a view of contracts in All Regions... If u r buying or selling u want to be doing it in the best place within that region...Rens typically has the best pricing in Heimatar region...Jita is best within The Forge (but don't go there on weekends)There are a few good markets in Domain region and in Essence and Sinq Laison....OVERALL Jita typically has the best pricing and I always go there to buy or sell certain items.
