Lol was drunk last night so lost my harbinger in 0.0 ratting too drones =P
Now I am leaving drone space for a while for some low-sec ratting possibly 0.0, against other faction rats.
Maybe a cruiser for this or something else? Suggestions suggestions and suggestions :D
I can fly Amarr ships and use Tech 2 Medium turrets and I don't like battleships so that is out of the question.
I can fly Gallente up too Thorax and can use T1 Hybrids.
I prefer closerange + speed. Ideas / suggestions? ^^

Can you fly HACs?
Either of the Amarr HACs make fine fast ratting ships.

Dude i lost my harbinger to rats last night to, fell asleep salvaging. Anyway i was looking at a zealot or a deimos. Ive seen a deimos rat and it was ungodly fast, and the guy has the same skills i do. I have never seen a zealot rat but i think they would be good at it.

Deimos sucks pretty bad at ratting.
Reasons:
a) Bad range
b) Most time spent mwding to get in range, not dealing damage.
c) Uses a lot of ammo, ammo runs out fairly quickly
d) Can only do kin/therm
e) DPS is pretty bad with normal ammo, considering the fact that the time you get to do that DPS is tiny.
Basically deimos = mwd up to one rat, attack it, all others are away by that time, so MWD again.
Zealot with beams is a huge lot better, but only against drones/sanshas/bloods.

What would work better against serp rats, Deimos or zealot?
ps. Not trying to take your thread but your in a similar situation to me.

i have thinking about tomake me a evil harb or an evil arbitrator it has a 4 low 4 med and 4 high slots and this is a good pvp setup:
high: 4 nos best or t-2
Med:1x web fleeting,1x warp scrambler best or t-2, 1x meium cap injector whit 800 cap chargers, 1x cap recharger t-2
Low: 2 med t-2 reppers and 2 hardners
drones:5 ogres t-1 or t-2 if you can use them and 5 hobgoblings t-1 or t-2.
this is for pvp but for ratting take 1 rep and 3 hardners and intead for warp scrambel,web and the injector you can put 3 cap reachargers t-22 and a AB or a MWD
and take away 3nos and put 2x medium pulses and a heavy assult missile luancher would be good for close combat or if you want to go long combat then 2 beams and a heavy missile luancher this is all for me and good luck this should work for most rats with good sklls

Maybe try the sacrilage - nice tank so your less likly to lose it + bonus's to all damgage types. cap less weapons.
A niffty lil ratting ship really.
