Anyone know some good pvp setups that are cheap, but efficient for the Kestrel? I'm just looking to go up against other frigates and maybe give an interceptor a good challenge. My ideal spending amount for this project would be around 1.5 - 2MIl or lower. Thanks

4 rocket launchers, 2 webs, a point, a MAPC and a 400mm plate.
You're slow and horrible, but you were even with a MWD, another frigate within 10km, is double webbed and eaten by your rockets.

I know a guy that used to camp stations with that setup and get some easy kills on interceptors.

Kessies are usually considered as gang animals.
And the obvious problem with all T1 frigates in a world where everyone is flying T2 frigates, solo is hard in a kessie.
Its plusside is the dps. Always fit and fly like the ship has bonuses and slots for.

I'm trying to decide between rifter/kessie for some cheap low-sec PvP
I have both frig skills at level V, tech II small auto cannons/arties and tech II rocket/standard launchers. I can't deside =( kessie has more DPS(rockets) or a sick alpha for a frig(standards), but rifter has an extra low slot and more hp.
