Indeed, because everyone knows that tracking disruptors are way overpowered, for realz.
It should have done that to begin with. Adapt or die. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.1 |

I just came up with this because i fly amarr and minmatar myself... sure, tracking disruptors were never as usefull as dampener or ecm for example. But u can counter ECM with ECCM, dampener with sensor booster and so on... but how should we counter falloff-disrupting amarrboats if there is no module who gives a bonus on falloff?
Why not just boost your optimal range?
I'm fairly certain tracking computers will have falloff scripts now. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.1 |

Don't Tracking Computers and Tracking Disruptors have the same scripts? ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.1 |

Hrm...this should change then. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.1 |

Which you can nit-pick all you want, however TDs are SUPPOSED to wtfbbq turrets and would you really give up a midslot for +15% falloff? Probably not.
Okay, so we now have a new uncounterable module and a new i-win button against most nanoships. Cool. I really want to know what the developers think about this.
There's a live dev blog on Thursday about this patch, why don't you go to the EVE Information Portal and ask a question regarding them, something like:
"Tracking Disruptors will now have scripts that reduce falloff, while Tracking Computers will not receive equivalent scripts. Could you justify this decision, as I believe this may be unfair to pilots using Minmatar weapons." ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.1 |
