The market goods are a classic example. People will continually undercut to sell their turret ammo. Whilst they might be making sales, they aren't making money.
Some of the prices I see antimatter M sold for are stupid, they are probably well below 2/3 the cost of building it. It often makes me wonder if those people do the maths on what the minerals are worth, or what they could sell for.
On occasions its possible to buy up some stock and sell it on, but that doesn't always work if that person you bought from just builds more at that same lower price. You end up with a large stock you either have to use, or try to move at some point.
Blueprint copies. Well, in cases where its a science character, I can understand it if they can't build from things. Builders could probably get decent regular supplies, whilst the cost over time may be more then an original blueprint, they don't have the worry of buying it, researching it, etc. IF people actually factored the cost of blueprint into their prices, they might figure that they really aren't making as much of a profit as they think they are .
Others probably just wanted to get into a lazy cash-cow, and saw bpc sales as that market. I don't really think thats true, there is always a finite demand for anything, and over time people as they get more money probably aren't interested in building their own stuff, and would rather buy an already available one.
Sure the oversupply doesn't help, but then some people will stop doing it when they don't think they are making a profit, and will look elsewhere for some.
They will plumet, then become scarce and go up again. It just happens over time.
Edit: Personal preference, reduce 1500 build items from that to about 750. Make module max copies something like 100. Ships are fine as they are imo. And stop dropping stuff for free that people want to try to make a profit from building.
