Am I ever going to be able to enter 0.5 space again?! Or do I have to stay in 0.4 and below for the rest of the time I play this game, which if so wont be very long at all. Presently there is no viable way for increasing your sec status, if you have bad sec basically the game is over for you. Trips which take 20 jumps now take 140 jumps and for me that isnt fun.
I should be able to enter high sec space and only when and if I attack someone should there be any concord response. This is simply bs and has gone on for too long. At least allow me to increase my sec status by killing NPC's and I dont mean by 0.0001% per rat.

Did you guys ever think that some people have neg. sec. rating due to not pirating????? They are in the same boat. I would love for one of you guys to make a mistake and go neg. on your sec. rating. Or protect a corpmate and go neg. You would then understand the plight of all neg. sec. rating pilots as of right now.........
My concord agent was my highest agent and because of the change I lost it a while ago. BRING BACK CONCORD AGENTS.................... SNIGG is now officially open for business. How about this? How about CCP fixes the exploit that allows people to pod-kill people in Empire space, without EVER taking a security hit?
How about once people who pod-kill and attack ships in Empire space actually have to accept the consequences of their actions, then we can talk about how you can repair your status.
I myself have killed a player in 0.6 space (by accident, they were one of my corpmate's alts and they got in the way of a cruise missle) and I only took a hit for "aggression" which is nothing.
The system is messed up. Make it so that people actually take the consequence for the things they do, and then we can talk about your problem.
There are people who have pod-killed 4 people right in front of my eyes in 0.4 space, and they have a -1.0 security status. Two words: FARMYARD EPHITET.
Needs fixed.

-4.5 isn't even low enough for someone to shoot you in Empire Space so why can't you enter 0.5 space?
Seems silly, CCP.
The whole SR/Faction Rating thing is buggered.

What do you think they're doing, twiddling their thumbs?
Its a bug, ergo, its being fixed.
And, btw, you don't have a right to enter empire space, to be honest, it would still be fair if you couldn't get your security status back up, in 'real-life' (and I realise this game isn't based on real-life) if you murder a few families, and maybe have their pets for dinner, but then get released from prison (hey, you may have a good lawyer...), you're not allowed to just go anywhere.
And, here's a question, because I'm curious, why do you want to go to empire anyway?

Im sure that a -6 security rating is accidental. I agree npcs should give more standing, but Pirates are tagged like pirate, and should stay so |

it ain't broken bright eyes
You only get negative for initiating contact with a player. So you are a pirate and tagged so. I see no problem with that. |

I think if a character puts enough effort into adjusting his security status, he should be able to do so.
Right now, no matter how much effort you put into it, it doesn't go up, there is nothing you can do.
The old system (+0.1 a day when negative) was SO SO SO SO SO much better, you could NOT exploit this, you simply had to wait it out. It was perfect, why CCP changed this, I do not understand.... ------

yah same problem, -2.8
because of PvPing (not pirating) in empire space
I knew the risk of not being able to enter 1.0 again, so gotta accept it, still annoying for travelling though.
but I know lots of non pirating people who have negative security rating, by simply defending themselves, etc.
I've read that the devs will bring back options to raise security rating again, like there should be. |

You're right. But the system is still broken, and CCP shouldn't fall all over themselves giving away upgrades to people with negative sec status until they fix the problems that allow people to hunt down and kill people (pod-kill even) in Empire space with NO CONSEQUENCES. That's my issue.
I had two people in a system get blown up by the same guy. He then pod-killed one of them. The guy took a grand total of ... wait for it ...
-0.5% for Agression against the guy he pod-killed.
He took no hit for the destruction of his pod, no hit for the destruction of EITHER ship. This guy is flying around pod-killing like crazy, blowing up ships right and left, and he never takes a security hit.
This is the only FUBAR thing right now. Fix THAT, and then come back and tell me how you want to fix a negative security rating...

At first I thought that was an awesome idea. But I can't think of away to make it work. It means that pirates can gang together. One of them pods somone in empire, goes negative. The other then pods him, and goes positive sec. They can do this going back and forth to raise their sec rating.
But I still like the idea. Since bounties seem to be broken now, there should be some bennifit to killing a negative sec pirate.

i never fire a gun in empire space anymore - due to the fact that i need to be able to go through high sec systems on a daily basis - if u get under -2.0 u are screwed, cause u cant regain it - thats just NUTS!!

Problem is, most corps aren't as civil as m0o. So you start letting outlaws into high security space and all hell breaks loose.
I personally think it would be grand. If you guys could make it into empire space. It would be like a carebear going to 0.0 space. Because players could attack you anywhere because of your security status. Players could have blockades in empire space to gank unsuspecting outlaws.
Hmm.. I wouldn't have a problem if a negative security rating were to decay daily, like before.. Say by +.001 per day or something. But I never ever ever want negative decay to be a feature. That goes for faction and corp standings as well. they should never drop ever. My +3.0 SS for instance. It should never decay unless I break the law.
What about this.. Let outlaws travel into empire space. But if they attack someone 1st(aggressor)while their SS is below -5.0.. Then they would be marked and not allowed back in empire space for 2 weeks. If that doesn't work, make it 4 weeks. But if some bounty hunter attacks the outlaw in empire space, the outlaw can safely defend his self without repercussions.
Dunno though.

Don't expect much from missions, I've gained 0.03 security status total doing kill missions; which mostly consist of killing Guristas.
I have +9.9 security status with Kaalakoita and +7.0 with Caldari Navy; that's a lot of missions. o_O
Security status right now = busted. ------

Had -6.3 3 weeks ago. I started killing NPC battleships and got 0.021... sec increase per rat killed. It's more like 0.1 increase per day for me ( my play time ). So after 3 weeks my sec is now -4.4. During this time i did nothing but sat at a spawn and shot the NPC every 10 minutes.
It's just so retarded. When is the fix? I mean, really, when?

Boo-*******-hoo.
It's more than possible to survive out of Empire space; I do it all the damn time and I'm not even close to any PC Corporations that can help me.
You willingly lowered your sec status, why should you be given an easy way out?
Funny how those who throw around the "Carebear" insult tend to have the Carebear complaints, themselves.

i agree with Zap, it needs sorted asap....
trininton of the zombies was unlucky enough to have his security rating real low before castor came out, he now cant really go anywhere...
I dont forget i was also -4.7 just before the patch, but was lucky enough to get it down before the nerf hit... if i didnt, what do u think id be doing the now? .
and remember my views are from the other side of the coin, im anti pirate.

tbh i aggree with zap and sympathise as i too wont be able 2 enter empire soon cause of the sec problem, what was wrong with security going up by 0.1 a day.I also think ccp should remove the top-up of centery guns round 0.4 and below stations, i had great fun 4 a week tanking meh scorp and pwning crusers as they tryed 2 dock it's soooooo funney but i cant do it any more. Also STOP RaGgInG on RaTs U NuBbErS its a great skilled occupation. ty zap for makeing this stand perhaps we can be allies in teh future RAGED

Agreed with Zap. It should be fixed... I'm not one of the ones suffering from it, but for the sake of gameplay it should be possible to make amends for your crimes (or mistakes)
