This. If the target doesn't stand a chance where is the risk to you? If there is no risk how is it difficult?
I'm willing to admit the truth of piracy, and others occasionally inadvertently do too, so keep professing how difficult piracy is and maybe someone will believe it. Heck, I think many of you have promising careers in politics, maybe you too can one day have a prostitute scandal of your own.

Its not killing the target that is the issue its finding the target.
Why are there no targets? Clearly because of wrecks on scanner right?
Or maybe its because you can make a living in highsec with little to no problem

Perhaps you should try it yourself? Piracy that is, not prostitution... unless that's your 'thing'.

Your drastic generalization is noted. I never said it was hard gankin mission runners. It might be hard finding them at times, but once you found em its easy.
In other news, you smell of pungent opium.

Really good however, has anyone noticed that the scanning reticule has dissapeared when pressing alt in the middle of ones ship? I don't know how to get it back and it's getting very disconcerting..... Please resize image to a maximum of 400 x 120, not exceeding 24000 bytes. Again you prove my point. I've said that the hardest part of piracy is finding someone to gank, you just supported my statement. Piracy is not hard, has little risk if you aren't an idiot, and the most difficult part is finding someone to gank. Even that can be easy depending on your particular flavor of piracy.

Ad hoc, how I love thee.
You've never ever ever ever tried piracy. That much is obvious. It's pointless trying to tell you about it, as you 1. won't listen and 2. are stupid. Now fly away and mine a rock or some stupid **** like that.

Thinking about it, I'm not sure I'm glad they're back to be honest. Anyone with any sense adapted fairly quickly and now this'll just make the carebears more wary, and more nubs spotting them missioning and scaring them away before we can grab them

MEAN PIWATES ARE MEAN WHY DO THEY STEAL MY STUFFS?!!!11ONE
wrecks back on scan is awesome. it makes no sense that they would be intentionally 'removed' in the expansion because they are objects floating in space we should all be able to see.
and its not like me seeing wrecks makes a difference anyway if I'm probing you out. just lets me know what type of mission you're in and how far you are into it. doesn't help me find you any faster, the probes don't get hits from wrecks iirc.

What point? its a fact. Finding mission runners is sometimes hard, not always if they are under 4 aus is often easy. When you find them its easy to kill them, ransoming them can be more difficult. you are fooling yourself believing you are bringing this discussion in your favor by trying to prove a point that has nothing to do with the original post. Fact is: its not easier in any way to gank or find mission runners.
Pirating in general is really as hard as you make it. Taking on battle cruisers in frigs as some ppl do is hard. Popping macro haulers with a carrier is easy.
Making isk pirating is atleast much harder then it is missioning in low sec without getting blown up. If I was missioning myself in low sec, I would never ever ever ever get blown up by a pirate. Its way to easy to avoid getting ganked. That most mission runners don't realize this is their own fault.

Originally by: Cygnus Scott You realize this will only drive the few remaining mission runners who mission in low sec to the high sec systems right? You'll have a week or two of feasting on targets then as people a) find out about this change or b) get sick if losing their ships regularly they will lave and not come back leaving fewer targets than before and those are likely going to be newbies in T1 fits. The T2 & Faction fit older characters are going to keep to high sec resulting in more whines about moving L4s to low sec.
We realize that every time piracy gets a boost, however small, some carebear alt is gonna pop in here and tell us all that this will spell the end for low sec.
Boost? Piracy is pretty much easy street anyway, do you suck that bad you need a boost? I maen really how hard is it to sit at a gate and blow up people as they come through? Probing out mission runners is probably the most difficult part of it. Don't try the "I'm a pirate & I got it tough" whine on me, only stupid pirates believe the whole "risk vs. reward" thing to be true. Piracy is all about minimal risk for maximum reward.
Did I say it spelled the end? Nope, I just said its going to cause the mission runners who currently mission in low sec to move their base of operations to high sec since their risk just increased a lot without any increase to their rewards. This results in 2 things, less people in low sec and more people lagging out the high sec mission hubs. Less targets hurts pirates financially, more lag hurts the "carebears" so nobody wins.
Aww.. How cute! He thinks piracy is easy street. Give it a try, hotshot.
I'll be sure to link this thread when your tears are flooding the forums in posts that cry about low sec being empty, moving L4 missions to low sec, or getting rid of profitable ore in highsec because you don't have enough targets. The biggest challenge of piracy often is finding someone to gank.
Let that movie quote just die, from being a cult classic it turned in a cheap meme. :(
