Yep. I run a vBulletin forum for my alliance. It gets permissions and skill info from the API, and now my whole forumhas permissions screwed because the API has been down for five and a half hours. I have my crons set to not attmpet updating during the hour of regular downtime that CCP denies the existence of, but this downtime is entirely off the normal downtime and excessively long >:/

I think it's customary to temporarily shut down the API server(s) after a path. Shouldn't last more then a day.

Yeah fair enough, but this isn't 'temporary'. It's over 12 hours since the patch was completed! Come on CCP, what's going on? When will the API start working again? |

They did say that the APIs would be offline until after today's downtime, but it's still been 5 hours since then.

sucky.... well maybe they are fixing it so that loss mails come through correctly and then it will have been worth the wait.

actually at some point during the patch something clicked right and it did grab the lossmails I hope that just wasnt a one-time fluke and they actually have dome some work

Well ive managed to pull in my Kills and... Losses =O! via the API.
Managed to update evemon.
Managed to update sov data on my POS Tracker...
Cant get my POS fuel levels tho... which tbh is the most annoying thing lol.

For whatever reason the API is buggy and has done that periodically for quite some time; it's returning the procedure it uses to look up the data instead of the data itself. The only way to completely avoid the issue is to make sure your code understands this bug and can do the appropriate lookups itself to handle these situations.

Yea still getting the same this as well with the POS API. My bug report was updated and just says "This report has been attached to a defect" now. With it being the weekend I am not surprised that it wasn't fixed. But, I am really hoping they get it fixed on Monday or Tuesday.
Can a dev comment on this?

Still down here too.
Ive noticed a few more bugs in the new patch also.
Some that occur both on Trinity and Classic. Some that only appear on Trinity.
But the one im most dissapointed in is the pos info not working.
Heres hoping they fix it soon.

consider yourself lucky, I have been trying to pull down the corp asset list for the past 2 weeks at random times with no luck... and I'm the only one with my key >.<

OK, i got another full use API key and now instead of getting the message to contact the admin when i try to get POS data,
i get a 202 error instead.
Can still get skills training etc.

From the time of your post, it was still DT. If they were working on the DB server, then that would explain your issue.

Watch out if you consume POS StarbaseDetail XML data. There appears to be a slight change to the format of the XML with the fix.
In the combatSettings node the childnode "onStandingDrop" used to have an attribute called "enabled". This is no longer present. Not sure if that's a big problem though, weren't the standings settings dumped from POS in the recent patch?
